Horseback Riding Tour in Azerbaijan is a unique experience that combines two things - horseback riding and hiking in the picturesque nature of the majestic mountains of the Greater Caucasus.
During this horse riding tour, you will ride along a mountain river surrounded by dense forest, and the descents and ascents of the hills will give you a real feeling of joy from your childhood. For this ride, you do not need to take a bottle of water with you - you will drink the purest mountain water, which you will not find in any store, and after riding three kilometers deep into the forest, our guide will make you tea from medicinal herbs growing on this untouched land, and also deliver an awesome picnic.

What To Expect
This is not only a horseback riding experience, but during this tour you will ride horses deep into the picturesque forests of the Greater Caucasus. You will visit places that have not been stepped on by a man. The views will be dense forests, rivers, hills, and huge mountains on your way. Horses you will ride are adapted for ascending and descending hills, cross mountain rivers, and at the same time they are friendly and calm which makes them safe to ride in such conditions. Your guide in this tour is going to be a professional horseman and instructor. Another unique part of this tour is that when you stop for picnic in the forest, we will also make you a herbal tea from herbs that grow in these forests and mountain peaks, that are not found anywhere else. After the tour, before going back to Baku, you will have another herbal tea in a mountain village, which will present you a feeling of greatness.

5.00I was on this trip. I'm very happy. Thank you to the Azerbaijan Travel team for their professional approach to organizational matters. During the trip I visited the northern part of the country. I liked it very much. Guide Kai led the tour in English but also spoke Ukrainian because he used to live there. We compared these two languages. He's a great guy. A very smiling and open guy. I was very surprised by his knowledge of Polish-Azerbaijani relations. I learned a lot of new things. I heartily recommend it, greetings from Poland 👏🇵🇱

5.00It was one of the best adventure that I expierienced, Riding horse alone for the first time with a rainy weather and then a snowing weather make it an unique expierince. seeing the beautiful views during the trip and then drinking hot herb tea fresh from the mountain a big thank for our best giude ( khayyam ) and (Mehman )for making this adventure so special for us.

5.00My wife and I really enjoyed out trip to Azerbaijan. It was made and awesome trip due to our tour guide KI. I don’t think we would have had such a great experience if it was not for KI. He was very accommodating for our tours and for our needs. It’s never felt he was like a tour guide but more like a friend to us that guided us through the beautiful country and activities of Azerbaijan. We did several activities while where there. We did the day tour with the tour company which was well organized and we got to visit good touristic spots. then on the other few days, we requested Ki to arrange some special tours that were not part of the tour company and he did an amazing job for this. The first tour was a food gastronomic tour in which we got to enjoy local Azerbaijani food which such a wonderful host and experience I will never forget. On our second custom made tour was we went horse back riding in the lovely outskirts of Azerbaijan almost like the country area. This too was a phenomenal experience Ki had brought along his guide for us to trek with the mountain horses. it was such a special experience, and place the horses took us too private and serene. We got to drink and enjoy fresh spring water and BBQ hotdog sandwiches. It was a really great time another unforgettable experience which was worth the drive there. All this was only possible due to our amazing tour guide KI. I went to Azerbaijan to explore which I did and I came back making a friend in Azerbaijan. Thank you, Ki, for the great time.

5.00This trip was the “out of the box” kinda trip for me. I don’t ride horses or know how to deal with yet, yet I was able to ride the horse through mountains and rivers! I loved this trip, every part was enjoyable and the herbal tea was just amazing. The guide Mehman was very kind as he helped me complete few of my “to-do-list”, I was able to swim in a good river and visit amazing waterfalls. Also, thanks to my coordinated Khayyam for the great support on planning everything! Thank you both, for enabling me this lifetime experience!

5.00Horse riding in the nature It is like hiking but on horses. Nature around is beautiful and it is not hard. Horses are calm and friendly. The tour was organized well. I was in other tours with this company about 2 years ago. There were 2 guides, both speaking very good English. They give you instructions and help you if you need. Food is included. They cook sausages in the forest. After the tour you go to drink tea in the village located on a mountain. I recommend this trip!

5.00Unforgettable trip We rode horses in one direction and for a decent distance. At the end we made a stop, started a fire from dry firewood straight from the forest and made a barbecue from sausages and vegetables. They also made a herbal tea, which was very tasty and relaxing. Then we rode back our horses along the same trail, but views were completely different. After all we visited a local restaurant, located in a mountain village, and drank more tea with herbs. The views are simply stunning, there are mountains and forests all aroud. You don't need to carry water with you, as you can get clean drinking water at every step. So it is just enough to carry a small bottle with you. We crossed the shallow river several times. Horses are smart, they understand where to go and how to cross rivers. You just need to relax and enjoy the ride. The trip was very well organized. Special thanks to our guides Ki and Mehman for instructing, guidance, logistics. They did their job very well. We had a great time.

5.00Have a great time! We were very happy with the tour, I advise you all! Horses are calm, obedient, at the same time accustomed to the mountainous terrain, cross rivers calmly, on the climbs off the slopes themselves know what to do. In short, you feel confident with them! The route is not difficult actually (both ways distance 6 km), the place is delightful, in places there are mountain views, especially when you return. Walked through the woods, along the river, our guides had a picnic. It was sausages, cutting cucumbers and tomatoes, bread baked in tander. It was preheated on fire, it was crisp. Also particularly enjoyed the fragrant tea made of herbs and the opportunity to relax in the bosom of forest trees. By the way, the guides have prudently brought their bedspreads. Then they returned to the village and went up to the restaurant, which overlooks the mountains and drank tea with strawberry jam. Locals call it wild strawberries. Tastes really different! Special thanks to the guides, they are professionals, know their business and speak great languages!
