We visited Howletts today for a family dayout with the grandchildren. On the whole it was a very nice day with lots to see. We were fortunate with the number of animals that were out and about. But this is the first issue I feel could be improved. The viewing for small children is very poor, and you have to pick them up to see through the viewings windows or over the wooden fence boards. Perhaps the installation of steps might be considered. The second issue of the day was the catering. As you would expect, this is not cheap, but the quality of the food needs to be better to reflect the cost. A portion of the cheese, bacon, and chips was bought, but the chips were inedible. There was also a very limited options for vegetarians and nothing for our dairy intolerant grandchild. Hopefully, the organisation can consider this feedback and make it an even more enjoyable experience.

We recently visited Howletts Safari Park and had a fantastic time from start to finish. Pre booking our tickets was easy and hassle free, and there was plenty of parking available when we arrived. The park itself was brilliant… so many animals to see, from big cats to playful primates. We loved watching them in spacious, well-kept enclosures that clearly prioritise animal welfare. One of the highlights of our visit was deciding to adopt a wolf, which made the experience even more memorable. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the whole place had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back soon for another adventure!

Purchased the gelada feeding for my Sister & her three year old Daughter as it was her birthday, such a lot of fun! Maya was brilliant with her, answered all of her (some a bit silly) questions. All the staff at Howletts were so kind & helpful, we had a lovely day.

What a super day , it was very windy but nearly all of the animals were out , we did the elephant experience and we both loved it , Eden our ranger was very informative and friendly , we fed the elephants bamboo , it was amazing . I'm disabled and did the park on my scooter , the staff couldn't have been more helpful and literally made my day , I've recently been like this and was anxious but all those feelings went away . The park is very well kept and animals look well looked after . The gift shop is well stocked and the staff in there were incredibly helpful , we love it here and will be back

We visited Howletts the day after visiting Port Lympne (sister zoological centre) and we had a really lovely time. It was yet another great conservation establishment and they also have really great enclosures. The animals all looked very well looked after and happy. We highly recommend a visit.

Howletts is a must for anyone wanting to see incredible animals close up. I don't consider Howletts is a zoo, as the majority of animals are in large enclosures, many as close to their natural habitat as its possible to provide. It's a wonderful day out for all the family.

This is the first time back to Howletts for many years and wasn’t sure what to expect. Many wildlife parks have struggled to survive the pandemic but it was positive to see that they were still going as a park and as a conservation organisation. Not much directed breeding going on at the moment as all such parks are in a bit of stasis at the moment. Saw plenty of animals albeit sometimes just a glimpse, but these places are about the animals first and keeping their habitat as natural as possible. I have to give a big shout out to one of the Rangers -Charlie. We had time today to attend a few talks and the two he did were excellent. His is extremely knowledgeable, able to adapt to his audience and happy to explore other areas of animals. Great job.

Didn't expect to see all the wild animals but did absolutely love and enjoy what we saw. Took a steady no rush walk enjoyed tea coffee and lunch, and braved the creapy crawly and snake exhibition. 2nd visit probably 30 plus years apart and not disappointed

Most of the enclosures you are unable to see any animals at all vegetation blocked out sightings of anything that may have been there. In fact if I got a £ back for every animal we could not see would have got 70% back. To expensive to just walk around and see very little. Gorillas and monkeys very good And easy to see because they were caged. Everything else was just too far away. Elephants were not bad, but would never go back again.
