Your experienced guide will point out millionaires' sumptuous estates, picturesque Hudson river lighthouses and quaint sleepy villages surrounded by the natural beauty of vineyards, orchards and scenic preservation sites.

The boat has a lower enclosed deck, a middle deck which is a shaded but otherwise open are, and an open air upper deck with bench seating.
A fully stocked bar with alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and a snack bar with light fare such as hot dogs & fresh popped popcorn is available on the lower main deck at your own expense.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed on board the boat
There is plenty of seating on the boat, both inside and on the upper deck, which consists mainly of bench-style seating; the main lower deck has chairs; seating is on a first-come first-served basis, so be sure to arrive early if you’d like to sit in a particular area of the boat

5.00Criticism for the price ($130 per person for a dinner just enough, just water, if you want beer or wine.. help!!) would deserve max. two or three bullets, but the beauty of the cruise recommends the maximum rating. In fact, even on a cold evening almost zero thermal, the show that offers the navigation route between the Brooklyn bridges and Verrazzano and, in the middle, the Statue of Liberty is breathtaking. So, patience, hand to wallet and forward!

5.00We had a great trip on the Rip van Winkle II. It was in October, but the weather was like summer and shade from the sun was at a premium. The guides were great, the scenery was amazing, and we loved it. So great to see the lighthouses too. Highly recommended for all ages.

5.00The cruise , Rip Van Winkle I , starting from Rondout, Kingston was an excellent sightseeing tour . The sunny crispy day actually allowed us to enjoy the fall foliage on both sides of the of Hudson River. The crew welcoming at the gate and on board were truly proactively friendly . A lady crew roamed around on board took visitors photo by their phone cameras . The captain continued to narrate about the surroundings to the enthusiastic onlookers on board. We loved the tour .

5.00It was a wonderful experience. We were blessed by fantastic weather and at the peak of foliage. The Rip Van Winkle has three decks - the top is open to the air and the two others are enclosed with the lowest being heated. The narration was informative and clear. The crew is helpful, offering to take your picture, and the captain wonders around and chats with the customers. I suggest combining this with a visit to the Maritime Museum that is right next door. Free parking is available in a lot across from the museum.

5.00I love a good boat ride and this one was great! Staff were helpful, kind and informative. The tour had just the right amount of information and time to soak in the beautiful scenery. The narrator was informative and entertaining. The tour started on time ticket collection easy and fast. There was plenty of room for those who wanted to sit inside where it was warm or outside. Overall a great trip that I would recommend to anyone in the area
