What To Expect
Humantay Lake Peru
Begin your day at 7:00 am, embarking on a journey through the Peruvian highlands. The 2-hour drive to Mollepata, with its captivating landscapes, offers a moment of tranquility as you pay entrance fees and take a brief respite. Continue to Soraypampa, where the trail to Humantay Lagoon awaits. The 1.5-hour hike, with an optional horseback ride, leads you to the pristine, turquoise waters of the lagoon. Arriving after the morning crowds have departed, you'll find serenity and splendor, embracing the stillness of nature. The descent takes an hour, followed by a 1.5-hour drive to a local restaurant for a delightful lunch. Conclude your adventure with a 2-hour drive back to Cusco, where you'll be comfortably dropped off at your hotel, carrying with you the enchanting memories of Humantay Lagoon.

5.00Great trip, views were amazing, I’d recommend getting a house or donkey for the hike. Food was delicious! Elisvan was a fantastic guide, and very helpful.

5.00We had a great tour with guide Elisben and driver Yober! The tour was a fully private experience in a spacious car. They provided water and snacks, in addition to a very yummy breakfast and lunch at a lodge. At Humantay Lake, Elisben took many photos and videos for our group (and brought a surprise prop that made our photos even better). You can also opt to go up the lake on horseback which I highly recommend. Elisben was very knowledgeable and took as many breaks as we needed while walking. As someone with health problems, I felt very safe knowing we had our guide.

He made touring humantay lake such a beautiful experience, and connected us with the local culture in a life changing way. We had Elisvan as our tour guide and Yober as our driver. They were both amazing.

5.00This is the second tour we have done with Peru Private Tours and we couldn’t rave about them enough. This is the only tour company that we could find that didn’t have a 4am pick up. They were very prompt in the morning. They provided snacks, a yummy breakfast and a delicious three course lunch. Elisvan’s suggestion of zigzagging up the mountain really helped. Elisvan and Marco were excellent! It ended up being a private tour which was great. We enjoyed taking turns picking songs to listen to on the way back. We couldn’t ask for a better experience.
