What To Expect
Humantay Lake
Between 4 and 5 AM, we will be waiting at your hotel entrance to embark on a scenic three-hour drive to the charming village of Mollepata (2,900 masl / 9,515 ft). Upon arrival, we'll enjoy a hearty breakfast to recharge before continuing to Soraypampa (3,850 masl / 12,631 ft), the starting point of our trek. If desired, you can rent horses from local villagers for a more comfortable ascent. As we hike, we’ll immerse ourselves in the breathtaking Andean landscape, spotting native birds and diverse flora and fauna unique to this region. Midway, we’ll pause for a light snack to replenish our energy before reaching our destination—the mesmerizing Humantay Lagoon (4,200 masl / 13,779 ft). Here, you'll be captivated by its stunning turquoise waters, perfect for capturing unforgettable photographs. After some relaxation, we’ll descend to Soraypampa, where our transport awaits. Back in Mollepata, we’ll have lunch before returning to Cusco, concluding an unforgettable journey.

5.00This tour was my favorite of all my trip to Peru. Ronald is the most amazing Guide out there. It has a contagious energy that motivates you to take the challenge of climbing into the lagoon. Although the most important thing, from my point of view, is that deep love you have for your culture and endless respect for the mountain. He has vast experience and stories to tell. I really enjoyed this experience and am infinitely grateful to Ronald for sharing with us a little bit of the beauty of his culture.

5.00If you’re coming to Cusco and planning a breathtaking adventure, you have to go with Guido Chavez as your guide. We were lucky enough to get to hang out with him two days in a row, first Humantay Lake and then Rainbow Mountain. Both were excellent! Highly recommend!

5.00We traveled for 5 days and they were all excellent, the constant service was from Freddy Torres and Bernal, one our guide and the other the driver, both were very friendly and attentive all the time, as well as, they know their job well since they guided us and took us to our destinies safe, healthy and happy; We were in contact with them almost throughout the tour but the others from the agency were just as friendly and attentive. The hotel they take us to seems far from the center but once we get to know the place we can see that this is not the case and it is nice and safe. I would definitely go back with all the service because it was excellent.

5.00Amazing and breathtaking location. Gido was patient and kind with my slower pace and arranged for horses for 3 of us. Gido shared his passion about the land, culture, history and beliefs and really elevated the experience for all of us. He took wonderful pictures of us too and we also enjoyed an authentic breakfast and lunch and great views on the road too. Highly recommend this trip and Gido.

5.00Humantay Lagoon is a beautiful place!!! I don’t know if I will ever see such a place in my life again, it really is amazing!! The hard part is getting there but if you lean on a little horse everything will be easier. Our guide Eddy was very cheerful and friendly, supported us in everything we need, definitely highly recommended!
