From September, the tour includes even more food and a third drink— better value than ever. You’ll explore hidden alleys, arcades, and eateries only locals know, stopping at five hand-picked spots we visit often. Enjoy 15+ dishes, 3 local drinks, and Osaka favourites like takoyaki, karaage, kushikatsu, udon, and oden among many others.

What To Expect

Shinsekai

Time permitting, we’ll take a short stroll around Shinsekai—an often-overlooked area packed with hidden gems, fun facts, and sights to discover.

Tsutenkaku

Walk past Tsutenkaku, the famous landmark tower that is the focal point of the area and see where kushikatsu all began. Walk through the streets that over a century ago, were designed to bring a western feeling to Osaka.

One of the best tours we have ever tried, really recomended, we thougth that dotonbori was the main place to eat in Osaka but Tim take us to the “Coney Island” from Japan and it was amazing for real the food of the first place he take us was the best we have ever had in the trip

We had a 4 person group booked for the Osaka tour. Anna was an excellent host with great knowledge of the history of the area along with backgrounds on the food. The places we visited were all different and allowed us to sample a great range of food and drinks. Would recommend this tours to any seeking to sample Osaka’s food history.

Arrived in Japan on our first ever visit, luggage in storage then straight to join Tim on our Hungry Osaka Tour. We learnt so much from Tim, not only about the food but about life in Osaka & Japan which was fantastic. Food was great, particularly liked Johnny’s chicken. We were so full by the end, there is a lot of food overall. Having a guide fluent in Japanese and who has lived in Japan so such a long time was a real benefit.

Terrible food and seemed like that I was the cheapest available at the locations. Mostly fried and tasteless food in dirty establishments. Would not recommend!

Adam was our tour guide on this walking tour, and we had a great time sampling many different street food dishes. Adam was friendly and full of knowledge, and we also really appreciated his willingness to share that knowledge and answer all of our questions. The food was great, and it was fun going into little eateries we may never had gone in without a local guide. Recommend 100%!

The best part was spending time with our multicultural group. We all stayed together long after the tour ended. Our tour leader was friendly and highly knowledgeable. The food was also excellent!

Adam was great. The food and drink generous. This is an effective way to break up solo traveling in (for me) foreign lands and enjoy international folks while learning and dining.
