From September, the tour includes even more food and a third drink— better value than ever. You’ll explore hidden alleys, arcades, and eateries only locals know, stopping at five hand-picked spots we visit often. Enjoy 15+ dishes, 3 local drinks, and Osaka favourites like takoyaki, karaage, kushikatsu, udon, and oden among many others.

Shinsekai

Time permitting, we’ll take a short stroll around Shinsekai—an often-overlooked area packed with hidden gems, fun facts, and sights to discover.

Tsutenkaku

Walk past Tsutenkaku, the famous landmark tower that is the focal point of the area and see where kushikatsu all began. Walk through the streets that over a century ago, were designed to bring a western feeling to Osaka.

Andy was hilarious and an awesome guide! I had never booked a tour like this so I was little nervous that we wouldn’t have fun, but Andy made sure we had an absolute blast!! I loved it so much that I’m actually worried the other tours I have booked won’t live up to how fun this one was 😹😹 haha we definitely hope to book another tour with Hungry Osaka tours one day - thank you so much Andy!!

We had amazing food at each place on the tour! Great and friendly host who we had a good laugh with. Group not too big either. The karaage was the best we had in all of Japan! We also benefitted from the host’s knowledge of Japanese culture. Thank you.

First I want to thank Kenzo for making this tour so much fun. I was happy it was limited to only 10 people. He brought us to restaurants that we would never have even found no less go into. Truly local hole in the walls. The food was a 10+ at every stop. Drinks were paid for at 3 stops!! Great blend of participants from around the world. If you love food book this tour and hope you get Kenzo as a guide.

This tour took us around a market at Osaka and gave us a chance to taste and learn more about the food that is popular in the Osaka area. Adam our tour guide provided lots of information and food in fun way. Plenty of food and drink on the tour. As Adam said early on in our tour, pace yourself...there will be lots to eat and drink.

We really enjoyed this food tour with Andy. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about Osakan food and history. We ate and drank well at several local eateries trying places we would never have found by ourselves. It was great to meet the owners and the other lovely people on our tour. A fun evening all round!

This tour is as amazing as the reviews suggest! My husband and I arrived in Osaka the day prior and were so overwhelmed by the markets and food options. Hungry Osaka brought us to local restaurants we would have never tried and gave us an incredible experience. We are so glad we booked this tour! Scott, our tour guide was phenomenal - extremely knowledgeable on all things Japan, engaging, and overall just a really nice guy! He answered all of our groups burning questions and made the tour even more fun. Thanks Scott & Andy!
