You’ll explore hidden alleys, arcades, and eateries only locals know, stopping at five hand-picked spots we visit often. Enjoy 15+ dishes, 3 local drinks, and Osaka favourites like takoyaki, karaage, kushikatsu, udon, and oden among many others.

What To Expect
Shinsekai
Time permitting, we’ll take a short stroll around Shinsekai—an often-overlooked area packed with hidden gems, fun facts, and sights to discover.
Tsutenkaku
Walk past Tsutenkaku, the famous landmark tower that is the focal point of the area and see where kushikatsu all began. Walk through the streets that over a century ago, were designed to bring a western feeling to Osaka.

5.00Tim, our guide, took us to a large variety of different types of food in Osaka and explained the history behind it all, as well as neat facts about the local area. It was easily the best value for money food tour. It was such a good time and Tim made the whole experience so relaxing. It was even worth it as a solo traveler as Tim made it such a nice experience I felt instantly comfortable in the group. Make sure you come hungry because there’s lots to eat!

5.00We did the tour with Anna who was very welcoming. She was fun and knowledgeable; she gave us lots of information about Osaka and Shinsekai in particular. Got to try a bunch of little bites at a bunch of little places; was good value for the money especially with the drinks being included. We also had a great group of people on our tour and had a great time socializing with them.

5.00We spent a fantastic night trying out local delicacies with Anna our guide who was not only really knowledgeable about Osaka and all dishes but also really lovely and funny. We had a cozy and comfortable atmosphere during the whole tour. The carefully selected tasting menu was delicious and gave us an insight into the eating habits of the different social classes and pointed out connection between work and food. The best tour I’ve done so far 💯
