Adam Smith (not the 17th century economist) was an amazing tour guide! He was very funny and friendly and made the tour super fun and interesting. He also has studied karate for 17 years and has amazing stories to tell. Definitely recommend!

Adam was the best guide that we could ask for! He was funny, personable, and very knowledgeable about the food we ate. The food itself was incredible and unique. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to eat a lot!!!

We ate so much delicious street food with Adam. Every stop was better than the next. And, we got so many fun facts about Japan.

This food tour with a small group of international travelers was really wonderful. The leader, Tim was energetic and positive and funny. The food was just the perfect balance of different without being too challenging for a 13 year-old pallet. The 15 small portions of food was more than enough to fill us up and we had a great time hearing about the history of this funky little neighborhood in Osaka.

The tour was perfect. Food was amazing, the host was very entertaining and sweet, and I even learned a little history of the Shinsekai area. Would absolutely recommend this tour to everyone visiting Osaka

We had a wonderful tour with Tim! He was such a knowledgeable guide and gave great context on the history of the neighbourhood and the food we ate. The food was amazing - be prepared to eat, because the portions are generous! Highly recommend.

I completed the hungry Osaka street tour with Tim, and he was absolutely amazing. He was so knowledgeable and make the entire experience one of kind. He even gave us recommendations of what we could do after the tour was completed. I highly recommend it. I would do it again just because he made it such a cool vibe!!!

We booked the 3 hour food tour months in advance. We had low expectations not knowing what to expect coming to Japan for the first time. I was concerned we were walking into a tourist trap. Michael our guide messaged us via WhatsApp the day of our food tour to confirm the booking. He started out strong with clear communication and provided detailed information as to where we would meet 15 min before our tour started at 5:30pm on a Sunday. We arrived at the meet up location by 4:59pm. Micheal was not too far behind us in his arrival. Micheal was clean, professional, kind, funny and friendly. He literally looks like an Australian version of Paul Walker (RIP) from the fast and the furious. The tour was fantastic! We went to several restaurants with Micheal teaching us Osaka history. Micheal was also an open book and answered any/all question with honesty. If he did not know an answer he would ask a local or just say he did not know. Micheal also taught us about the finer details in Japanese customs and etiquette. The establishments he took us to were all delicious and clean. The area we explored with Michael was clean and classic. There was a part of the tour when we were walking down an alley and it felt like a scene from the movie Black Rain. The whole experience was amazing. The group was fun and Micheal was a great facilitator of experiences. By the end of the tour if you are not full or still thirsty that is in your fault. The food and drinks were plenty. Bathrooms are clean. I am 5’8” at 233lbs of muscle (full figured) and I left stuffed. My wife and 17yr old son felt the same way. At the end of the evening Michael made sure all parties knew which routes via methods of transport to take in order to get home (back to hotels). Micheal walked all parties to their subway entrances or transport pick ups. To sum it all up a food this food tour with Micheal as a guide was worth every $$ and more. I never write reviews. Micheal was so good I feel compelled to spread the good word of his services.
