From September, the tour includes even more food and a third drink— better value than ever. You’ll explore hidden alleys, arcades, and eateries only locals know, stopping at five hand-picked spots we visit often. Enjoy 15+ dishes, 3 local drinks, and Osaka favourites like takoyaki, karaage, kushikatsu, udon, and oden among many others.

What To Expect
Shinsekai
Time permitting, we’ll take a short stroll around Shinsekai—an often-overlooked area packed with hidden gems, fun facts, and sights to discover.
Tsutenkaku
Walk past Tsutenkaku, the famous landmark tower that is the focal point of the area and see where kushikatsu all began. Walk through the streets that over a century ago, were designed to bring a western feeling to Osaka.

Not cheap but worth it for explaining Japanese food

5.00Now in Japan I realise how cheap food is here so in that respect this tour is expensive. However Anna our guide was very jolly and helpful, happy to answer any questions on food or Japan life. It was also nice to have someone guide us round the restaurants and explain what we were eating. We have found Japanese food very confusing!
Absolutely worthwhile! Do it!

5.00Anna was by far one of our favorite tour guides while in Japan. She made the night tour so much fun! All the food we had was tasty and at locally owned places. It really displayed how vibrant Osaka is.

With Scott leading the way, my partner and I were able to experience some of the popular foods local to Osaka while gaining valuable tips for our food conquests after this tour. 5.00Anna was an AMAZING guide! The overall flow of the tour was ideal and the local eateries on the itinerary were awesome. Such a great sampling of Osaka's local cuisine. Great group size (total of 8 persons) was ideal for a very intimate experience. Once again, Anna's fun personality and Osaka food culture knowledge shared was excellent. We would definitely rebook another tour if we ever get a chance to visit Osaka again in the near future and will recommend to our friends as well. Thanks to Anna for making it a very memorable experience for us and our friends.

5.00Scott was enthusiastic, witty, and of course very knowledgeable of the food we had at the 5 restaurants we went to. The best part was his drink recommendations at each stop! They were all surprisingly good even though they sound a little weird (aka the peach sour calpis chew-hi, banana sour, and the tomato sour). He even went an extra mile by giving us the list of foods we tried at each stop!
