Husky Dog sledding (or cart) tour in Latvia (Riga)- meet our professional guides and energetic husky team and jump into an unforgettable adventure! After a short safety briefing, take control of the sled and feel like a real musher.
Enjoy a thrilling 3 km husky ride through nature — fresh air, speed, and pure adrenaline just outside Riga.
After the ride, warm up with hot drinks and snacks and spend time with the huskies.
Snow or no snow — the tour runs!
If there is not enough snow, the experience continues with a wheeled dog cart, delivering the same excitement.

Husky Dog sledding tour in Latvia (Riga) – on arrival we will meet our guides and husky dog team. Our guide will give you instructions on how to control the sled and dogs. Become a real Musher! The Husky dog sledding track is around 3km long. This is an amazing experience that allows you to escape the city, breathe the fresh air and raise your adrenaline in a fast sled dog ride. After we will have hot drinks and snacks. If snow are not enough for sledges – there is possibility to go with dog-cart! Book in advance!

After huskies will go for small walking in snowie forests trails The Great Kangari Nature Reserve trails or Blue Hill.

5.00We had an amazing day , jans went above and beyond to make us feel welcome arranging our trip at the last minute . The sledging was so much fun and the dogs were so happy and cared for . Jans was a fantastic guide who took us to a village afterwards and showed us some local caves and a wine making store . A brilliant day all together highly recommend .

5.00Oskar was our guide, he was polite, knowledgable and engaging and spoke perfect English. This made the experience so much more than just the dog sled ride, as he was able to give as an insight into the recent history of Latvia, especially the transition from Soviet occupation, during the 1 hour car drive from Riga to the dog sled location. The dog sled ride was a wonderful experience if a little shorter than expected. It was great to be in control of the sled instead of just being a passenger. Following the sled ride Oskar took us to the delightful village of Ligatne where we visted the Winery, had a tasting session and were able to buy some excellent locally produced wine. We are so glad we took this trip and would say it is a must if you are visiting Riga. Thank you again Oskar for being such a great host.

5.00Amazing experience from start to finish, lots of quality time spent with the beautiful dogs prior to a once in a lifetime experience to try our hand at sledging independently, also had the opportunity to climb to a beautiful viewing point over seeing the whole national park, massive shout out to our guide Oskars, who was extremely accommodating, finished off with some wonderful herbal tea, shots , homemade ginger biscuits and traditional Latvian cakes, this is a truly unmissable experience!

5.00We had an amazing time on the huskey tour! We were a big group - 8 adults and a 2 year old and our family all had a magical time. Our guide Oskars was so friendly and knowledgeable. The huskeys were so friendly and clearly well looked after, we then went to a beautiful winery. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

5.00This was really a super fun activity! Our tourguide Jans arrived at our hotel exactly on time and it was a 40-minute drive to the Husky spot. We had to wait a bit long before it was our turn so put on very warm clothes but it was nice to see and pet the many huskies. The sled ride with the dogs is quite short, about 15 minutes but it is definitely long enough and super fun to do. The dogs go really fast, there are 6 and in between we drank some tea and ate some cookies. Afterwards we took a nice walk to a view tower. Jans sent us a very nice video of our trip afterwards. Recommended, this tour

5.00Unsure about a trip to Latvia/riga? Don't hesitate, just do it! And when you get there, book a trip with RigaTours. The approach is very personal. No large groups, but in a family context. And accents are set at the moment as you wish. Jans was very friendly and helpful. The contact before and after went very smoothly and he also gave us a lot of tips to try. Lovely custom travel! The husky tour is really fun to do. You have plenty of time to ask questions, play with the dogs and have a drink. The trip itself is a bit on the short side, but we would book again.

5.00What a fantastic trip … Jans picked us up from the hotel and took us to the venue . Seeing the snowy Latvian countryside en route was a bonus. The whole experience was fantastic . The dogs were gorgeous. Well looked after and so excited about the run ! You were able to get up close and pet the dogs before and after the ride through the lovely Latvian woods . When in Riga this trip is a must. Jan’s was so knowledgeable and v accommodating as we had to get back to the airport after the experience. So he kept us to time . Was an adventure we will remember always. Thanks Jans
