Sit Back and Relax whilst sitting on the sled driven by the guide. You can relax and look up at the sky whilst being pulled by a team of eager huskies. We mush approximately 13 kms and stop half way at our teepee located at an optimal point to see the northern lights. Here we stop to enjoy a cup of warm tea or coffee and warm up by the fire. You also have the chance to admire the amazing scenery and hopefully the aurora show. The dogs would love a cuddle, so you can get up close and personal! From here we mush back to the kennel. Once back at the kennel you return our borrowed gear and we drive you back to Kiruna or Icehotel by minivan. Pls Note that end of March and April it is no longer dark during our Aurora tours. Still beautiful dusk but chances to see the aurora on the actual sled is not likely due to no longer having darkness at the time of the tour.

What To Expect
Husky Tours Lapland
At the kennel we give you warm gear to borrow, instructions on how to sit on the sled safely and head off into the wilderness. Along the way we look up and try to spot the aurora. After approx 6 kms we stop at our teepee which is located at a great spot to view the aurora if she shows. We make a fire, drink a cup of coffee with a cinnamon roll and hopefully get to spot the aurora and take some pictures before getting back on the sled towards the kennel.

We will pick you up from the Tourist Office in Kiruna at 17:35 pls be 10 min early. (Malmvägen 9B, 981 30 Kiruna, Sweden)

5.00Our five days at the Hotel Jeris during the trip “Lapplands Highlights” were simply unforgettable! Everything was perfectly organized from the first minute to the last. The cottage was very cozy and clean, the food at the hotel excellent. The daily experiences and especially the nature were breathtaking and unique.

5.00Great experience! The tour was well planned and perfectly timed. The handlers know the dogs so well and you can see the bond with them. We had 4 people on the sled. Alex was an awesome guide. Very friendly. We did the northern lights tour and would recommend to anyone.

5.00We did the Norther Lights Dog Sledding Tour and it could not have been a better experience. We were picked up from Kiruna and driven to the venue. The dogs were already prepped and the sleds waiting. We were equipped with winter suits and boots, as it was extremely cold. Without these I do not think it would have been feasible. We were 2 groups and were divided into 2 sleds, which were operated by the team. I did already a self mushing experience, which was amazing, but this set up was such a unique experience, as we were able to enjoy the winter landscape and then we also saw a beautiful aurora (we were lucky). We had 0 light pollution and therefore the best visibility. The dogs were cute and well taken care of and super excited for the run. In our group there were 2 dog lovers and they felt super comfortable with this crew.

5.00The huskies are so cute, the Northern Lights are so beautiful, the cinnamon rolls and coffee we ate along the way were a happy time, the wear is available to rent so no problem with the cold weather, the pickup was smooth, the two Japanese women went there and neither one of them even speaks English, but it was a lot of fun! It's been a great Christmas! All the staff were nice too!

5.00Although the northern lights didn’t come out for us we still had an amazing time on the sled ride and meeting all the huskies. Filip was a great guide who made the experience really fun and answered all our questions about the dogs. We even got to help feed them at the end!

5.00Magical and exhilarating ride through the winter wonderland forest ! Lovely, friendly staff with excellent service. They made sure we were warm and comfortable despite very snowy conditions! No chance of northern lights given the weather but we had the best time with the sweet dogs. Cozy Fika in the forest tipi was a great rest halfway through. Cannot recommend enough we had the best time!

5.00We really enjoyed the tour, it was thrilling and exciting. Our guide Lucas was very informative and helpful. The dogs were taken care of very well, it’s obvious that they love all 81 of their dogs since they remember every single one of the dogs’ name. Sadly we didn’t get to see the northern lights since it was cloudy. Will definitely recommend this activity!

5.00Absolutely amazing experience. A friend and I decided to do the ride on a whim and had an amazing experience. They picked us up from Kiruna, gave us a ride out to the dogs, and had a great chat with the driver on our way there and back. We got suited up in excellent provided cold weather gear, met our driver and off we went into the forest. Halfway through we stopped for tea around a fire in a Sami building and met the dogs who could not have been better behaved. The northern lights lit up brightly as we relaxed, we took tons of photos under the lights and with the dogs then headed back under the incredible lights all over the sky. When we got back we got to feed the dogs, unharness them, and bring them back to their kennel. After we had the chance to play with the puppies that the place had recently received. Genuinely a 10/10 experience, worth the money without a doubt.
