Mecca Masjid

5.00As a solo traveler visiting Hyderabad on business, I made it a point to carve out one full day to see the city’s top attractions, including Golconda Fort, Charminar, Laad Bazaar, and Chowmahalla Palace. I found this private full‑day guided tour, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. I was able to coordinate easily with Mr. Matta and our driver for hotel pickup and drop‑off, which was invaluable. With India’s traffic—and my limited international travel experience—having everything arranged made me feel comfortable and safe from the start. India is wonderfully different from the U.S., but it can feel intimidating at first, and this tour removed that stress entirely. Golconda Fort absolutely lived up to the hype, and Mr. Matta was incredibly patient and encouraging during the long climb up the steps. His knowledge and calm demeanor made the experience both enjoyable and manageable. Charminar and Laad Bazaar were unforgettable—the atmosphere, the energy, the shopping—it was a true sensory experience. A special thank‑you to Mr. Matta for guiding me through the maze of endless shops and helping me find the perfect place to purchase the famous Laad bangles. Watching them being made right in front of my eyes was incredible, and his help negotiating a fair price was greatly appreciated. After learning that I dabble in sewing, Mr. Matta also took me to a wonderful shop filled with beautiful trims and embroidery, where I was able to purchase stunning embroidered appliqués—an unexpected and delightful highlight of the day. Chowmahalla Palace was a photographer’s dream, overflowing with breathtaking architectural details. Although professional cameras were not permitted, my cell phone still captured the splendor and beauty of the palace. I highly recommend business travelers take time away from work to truly experience Hyderabad and its beauty. Mr. Matta is an excellent guide, and this private tour was absolutely perfect.

5.00We had a lovely time with Mr. Matta! He is very knowledgeable, and showed us many interesting sites around Hyderabad. It was a very full day, and included delicious cookies and tea, along with a hearty lunch at a local neighbourhood spot. We learned a lot, and enjoyed one of the best views overlooking the city atop Golconda Fort. Highly recommend the day! Pro tip: wear comfortable walking shoes.

5.00We learned a lot of history of Hyderabad from our guide, Matta S Reddy. The highlights were the Golconda fort and the Birla Temple . Mata was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He was also very accommodating as we added another person to our group at the last minute and he adjusted the itinerary to meet our needs. I highly recommend taking his tour.

From the iconic Charminar to the grandeur of Golconda Fort and the elegance of Chowmahalla Palace, every stop was fascinating and beautifully organized. The ethnic lunch was authentic and delicious, as well as the Iranian tea and cookies. They both added a wonderful cultural touch to the day. What truly made the tour exceptional was my guide, Murthy. He was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about Hyderabad’s history. His storytelling brought every site to life and made the experience both educational and memorable. Highly recommended — especially if you get Murthy as your guide!

5.00I had a wonderful tour with Ramana as a tour guide. It was really excellent visiting Hyderabad. We focused our time at the Golconda fort, Charminar, Chowmahalla palace, Mecca Masjid, and having lunch at the famous Paradise (all of the locals kept asking if we had biryani at the Paradise restaurant, apparently it’s the most famous). Ramana had a deep knowledge of history and answered all of my questions. The tour was well organized with direct pickup and drop-off from my hotel. We easily stayed in contact as the tour dare a time approached using WhatsApp. It was such a full day - I highly recommend it for anyone with a free day (I was on a business trip and snagged an extra day for this - I was very happy that I did).

5.00Excellent day with our guide Mr Ramana Murthy and driver Ramesh. Extremely knowledgeable guide with very good English and a professional, flexible and friendly attitude . Very nice Biriyani lunch, included in the tour price. Lots of sightseeing done in a very enjoyable and informative day.
