What To Expect
Badshahi Ashurkhana
An Ashurkhana is a place of mourning for Shia Muslims on Ashura, the 10th day of Muharram. Established by Muhammed Quli Qutb Shah in 1594. As a result, the city has numerous of Ashurkhanas, after completing the Charminar to mark the new city of Hyderabad in 1591. The brilliantly colored tile-mosaic decoration was completed under Abdullah Qutb Shah in 1611. After the Mughal conquest of Hyderabad, in a display of Sunni sectarianism, Aurangzeb used it as a horse stable for the Mughal cavalry.
Pathar Gatti was built during the reign of the last Nizam of Hyderabad State, Mir Osman Ali Khan in 1911. As the building was constructed in stone or Pathar, it was named Pathargatti. It was designed by the renowned engineer Vishveshwaraiah in a distinctive Osmanian architecture style.

5.00Our group had a wonderful time walking the city of Hyderabad with Mr. Matta. He was well prepared and very knowledgable on the various sites we visited, and he helped us navigate the streets! If you can, try to go in the morning when it’s less crowded. We weren’t sure if we wanted to book a tour, but are so glad we did!! Do it!

5.00We decided for a tour in Hyderabad booked on Viator which the walk memorable what we expected by the local guide walking around the olc city with historical sites around bazaars Iranian tea cookies and a well organised lunch of Hyderabad Biryani we are overwhelmed with the rich experience by guide and driver. 5.00Would definitely recommend! Mr Bhaskar was very knowledgeable, friendly and worked hard to show me the sights of Hyderabad. For a first time visitor to India I wouldn't have got half as much out of my visit without a good local guide to show me round.
