If you want to get more out of your Ice cave tour, then we recommend this tour for you. Ice caves are really popular now, and it can be hard to find an Ice cave that is not crowded. We will try to time the visit to the ice cave well, giving you more time to enjoy the amazing wild nature around the glacier.
On this tour, we also do a glacier walk were we will visit a very nice blue glacier canyon.
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Subject to favourable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund

this was my 2nd time with glacier trips. They are local they operate with small groups only and know when and how you can avoid the crowds in the ice caves. Amazing. looking forward to another time. PS: all the 3 times we got to visit different caves

Fantastic experience and the tour guide was fantastic. Small group of 6 and we walked maybe an hour on the glacier to the ice cave . We were very lucky with the weather as you can see in the photos . We were the only group in the cave which was great.

This experience was amazing! We chose this operator because it looked like the best value for the pricing and we were absolutely not disappointed. The guide, Stefán, was knowledgeable, had a fun sense of humor, and we appreciated his no-nonsense style. The trek was really fun and went at a sustainable pace and the ice cave portions were so much fun! Our guide actually took care to make sure we didn't feel crowded and were given the opportunity to really explore the caves by altering the order of the cave visits to avoid a huge tour group that had crammed into one of the caves. Loved it and will do it again when we return to Iceland. HIGHLY recommend this tour!

I did the glacier walk + ice cave tour pack with my wife and a couple of friends in early November/2025 and it was simply amazing. Our guide Steinar was extremely helpfull, friendly and made sure to guarantee that everybody was feeling safe throughout the whole trip. Our group had a total of 8 people, so it was not too crowded and Steinar always tried to go to the caves when they were not too busy, ensuring that we could enjoy our time. I recommend a lot to do this experience with Glacier Trips! The caves are exactly like what we see in the pictures!

The ice cave tour is absolutely recommended. Especially our guide Alex was super: very helpful, lots of knowledge about iceland and nature. In addition, he created a great atmosphere. They go the extra mile and you can tell!

The tour is 5-6 hours long but I say that this is meant for the slow walkers. It shouldn’t be challenging whatsoever. Maybe the weather helped a lot but it was worth to do cause when would you see the mulan (I don’t know the spelling :)) and the ice cave at the same time? Highly recommended! But I would make sure you wear warm!

We enjoyed our tour with Stefan as he was incredibly knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. Stefan was always mindful everyone’s safety and even timed our visits to the ice caves so as not to be crowded with other tour groups. He took photos for us and moved at a pace that worked for everyone. Amazing views and a memorable experience! Highly recommend.

I had an incredible experience on the Ice Cave and Glacier excursion! Our guide, Stefan, was absolutely amazing knowledgeable, patient, and so passionate about what he does. He made the entire adventure both educational and fun, explaining the history of the glacier and how the ice caves form, all while making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable on the ice. The scenery was breathtaking, walking through the blue ice and seeing the layers up close was something I’ll never forget. Stefan also gave us plenty of time for photos and made sure we got the best views. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland! It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and having Stefan as your guide makes it even more special.

Excellent experience. Our guide was Steinar, who explained very interesting things about the glacier and took us to beautiful places where we could appreciate different colorations of the ice.

Moderate to difficult is a fair description.. it would be too much if you were not use to walking a long way, up an ice hill, with crampons. The cave was beautiful and worth the hike. Stephan was our guide and he was excellent, made us feel comfortable, was patient and helped us feel safe. He also had a ton information about the glacier as well. He was as big a part of the fun as the cave itself.
