What To Expect
Banyuwangi
Around 11:00 PM – 12:30 AM, our team will pick you up from your accommodation in Banyuwangi. Before heading to the hiking point, all participants will undergo a brief health check as required by local government regulations. Once completed, the journey continues to Paltuding Post, the starting point of the hike.
Paltuding is the starting point of the Ijen hike, located at the base of the mountain within the Ijen Plateau. Here, travelers will meet their guide, receive safety gear like gas masks and headlamps, and prepare for the trek. The cool mountain air and quiet surroundings set the tone for the adventure ahead, as hikers begin their ascent toward the famous Ijen Crater and its mesmerizing Blue Fire.

5.00I did a solo midnight trek to Kawah Ijen and it was really good. Started off super cold under the stars but the hike warmed me up quick. When we reached the crater the blue fire looked unreal up close, dancing in the dark with that soft crackling sound while the cold wind was still blowing. My guide was friendly and professional, he guided me safely the whole way and patiently answered all my questions. The team picked me up right on time from the hotel, gave me enough time to enjoy the pretty turquoise lake at sunrise, and finished with some warm fried bananas. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience worth every step.
