Cape Coast Castle Experiences
Along the pilgrimage, our accredited guide will give you exposure to diverse and vibrant cultures in Ghana. Inside the castle, visitors will walk through the corridors and chambers where enslaved Africans were once held captive in deplorable conditions before being transported to the Americas. The dungeons are particularly haunting, providing a poignant glimpse into the unimaginable suffering endured by those who were forcibly separated from their families and homelands. Visitors will also see the Door of No Return, a symbolic exit through which enslaved Africans departed the castle, marking the end of their freedom.
Elmina Castle
The adventure continues at Elmina Castle, where we will delve into the profound past of the transatlantic slave trade and colonial history. Steep in, learn, and experience both poignant and enlightening heritage, as we explore the dungeons and courtyards that witnessed significant historical events. Upon visiting Elmina Castle, visitors will be able to tour the various chambers and rooms within the castle, including the dark dungeons where enslaved Africans were held before being transported across the Atlantic. They will also learn about the harrowing history of the slave trade, the conditions faced by the captives, and the impact of this tragic period on the African continent and its diaspora. In addition to its historical significance, Elmina Castle offers stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding area. Visitors can walk along the castle's walls, explore the courtyards, and imagine the lives of those who lived and suffered within its walls.

My family had the pleasure of having Vince for our entire 10 day trip, and let me just say he was excellent. Vince was very knowledgeable about the history and customs of Ghana. He provided concierge assistance as well, and guided our group through all the customs and courteous of each visited location. Vince made this trip an experience that will last a life time. Vince is down to earth and has a incredible personality which made the trip more personal. I would choose Vince and his company for every guided tour hands down.

Vince was so wonderful! He was so knowledgeable about the history of Ghana as well as its current state. He explained the importance and contributions of each village as we passed through them on the way to Cape Coast, and answered so many questions I had. He also made me feel very safe as a solo female traveler. The car was very comfortable and he really went above and beyond on the small details to ensure it was a great day. When I come back to Ghana I hope to be able to have Vince again as a tour to see other areas!

This was a memorable day, made all the better by our new best friend Vince. He planned our day excellently, getting ahead of the crowds and quietly navigating all the logistics while we were able to just take in the sights and be with our thoughts. Vince is every bit as knowledgeable about Elmina and Cape Coast sites as the guides there, and answered so many further questions we had about Ghana history, current events and life in Accra and Ghana. All in all a wonderful experience.

I was invited to go to Ghana with my daughter and her family. Vince was our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Ghana. It was 10 of us so we had, a bus, bus driver (Sammy) and 2 tour guides. Vince was the best. Vince met all our needs. If we asked, it was provided. We got more than a guide, we got a friend. I would recommend Vince, to help make your travel to Ghana a most memorable vacation.

I throughly enjoyed our tour of Cape Coast and Elmina. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and gracious. However, the journey was long, about 4 hours. The roads were bumpy and traffic was bad.

We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion with Schubert to Kakum National Lark for an exhilarating canopy walk followed by somber visits to the Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle. As a local guide, Schubert’s commentary and responses to our many questions helped educate us on life in Ghana and how history has impacted the area. In addition to the above stops, we enjoyed and excellent lunch with drumming for entertainment and roadside stops to try tiger nuts and coconut water straight from the coconut. We are traveling with Semester at Sea and arranged this trip based on a recommendation from a fellow passenger. I hope this review leads others to do the same. Schubert was very accommodating with our unexpected schedule change (lateness of arrival). Great day!

Last July my family and I were so lucky to have Vince as our guide for two days. I respect him because his is dedications and passion in doing something he love. My family had a great time going to cape coast castle the canopy walk while we were there it was raining my daughter was not wearing the right shoes for the weather and it was very wet and dangerously muddy Vince’s protective nature helped her down and cleaned her feet with a jar of water. As a father I will recommend Vince and give a five stars to his service.
