Vietnamese Lacquer Painting - Ha Thai Village

Begin your adventure in Ha Thai village, renowned for its lacquerware production since the 17th century. Meet a celebrated local artisan who will introduce you to this traditional art form. Under their expert guidance, you'll have the opportunity to create your own lacquer painting as a unique souvenir.

Chuong Village

Next, journey to the 300-year-old Chuong village, famous for its conical hat making. Wander through the village and, depending on availability, either visit a war veteran to hear personal stories from the Vietnam War or meet other local artisans to learn about their daily lives. Enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch prepared by a local female artisan, immersing yourself in authentic Vietnamese hospitality. After lunch, try your hand at painting your own hat or join in the hat-making process with guidance from skilled craftspeople.

This tour was amazing, know how the tradicional hats were made and then visit the inciense village that its full of colors. But the tour was beyond amazing with our guide Loulou! She was so fun and close, and know so much about this tradition. Besides takes the best pictures ever! Was really kind and helpful.

Very easy, did not encounter any issue. The tour guide will text you the day before to remind you of the instructions. Loulou, our tour guide was very attentive and kept us entertained / educate through out the trip. You also get to visit a more rural place for the hat/incense making. The incense place is undeniably a great place for photoshoots

We had a really good experience with Tom, who took us to the Incense Village and the Traditional Hat-Making Village. He was very friendly and made us feel comfortable throughout the trip. He gave us enough time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the places at our own pace. Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience—perfect for our second day here. We would happily recommend him.
