Our intermediate caving course offers an immersive, hands-on experience for those looking to push their caving skills. This course includes vertical challenges like abseiling underground and using caving ladders to explore higher, more remote cave sections. You’ll also go deeper into larger cave systems, navigating narrow squeezes and technical crawls, which require both physical and mental focus. Unlike show caves, you'll experience real wild caving in natural, rugged systems.
With a full day of caving, you’ll refine your skills in a challenging environment. Small group sizes ensure personalised attention from experienced instructors, who guide you through advanced techniques and provide insights into cave geology. By the end of the day, you'll gain the confidence and skills to tackle more complex cave systems and progress in your caving journey.

We were all so welcomed and it was a great experience. We had a guy named Mark and he helped my sister and even changed the route because she was scared. Great guy and would definitely do this again.

We absolutely loved our caving experience! Steve was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny and made you feel at ease around the more challenging parts of the route. We did the intermediate course and it was the whole experience! We crawled, climbed, abseiled, ducked and twisted our way through the caves, up and down waterfalls and through some very challenging obstacles! It really was worth the journey we made. I highly recommend this course and indeed this company. Very professional yet personal and you can feel the passion for the outdoors and adventure that Steve has. I can’t wait to book another adventure with Dolomite! Thank you Steve! (: (We went in late October and I was worried it was going to be too cold, but surprisingly it was colder outside than inside!)

Our family of four (two adults, a 15 and 11 year old) went abseiling off Millers Dale bridge followed by caving at Giant’s Hole with our fabulous instructor Wendy (we also met Steve who was great too). We had the best day out and Wendy challenged us while making it fun. Would highly recommend to all - and we will definitely be doing another day when we come back up to the Peaks.

Our three full days with Wendy have been the most fantastic you could imagine. With 4 youngsters ranging from a man-sized 17 year old to a 12 year old girl, Wendy quickly sussed out how to challenge each one of them, and as grandparents watching on, we were totally impressed with her skill and professionalism. They did rock climbing, weaselling, stream scrambling, abseiling, and the amazing underground caving adventure to end the week. Wendy made each activity fun, and safe but constantly upped the ante to make it harder so that even the most confident was put under pressure. Ever tried rock climbing blindfolded, or one handed? The kids were not only challenged individually but had to cooperate and support each other too. The final day caving, after heavy rain overnight, was beyond description! Our confident young people admitted to being terrified at times, but loved every minute! And their sense of achievement at the end was wonderful to see. Wendy gave them life experiences, and they’ll never forget these times. Thank you so much Wendy, for enabling us to give our grandchildren a holiday to remember for a lifetime.

We caved with Wendy and she made us feel comfortable and helped in working out where we should go caving. The caving was completely different than we expected (in a good way) and got to look at various fossils as we made our way through. Would highly recommend both this company.

Had a one-to-one day exploring the caves and mines with Steve. Steve is a fantastic instructor and did everything he could to accommodate my requests, and he was a very knowledgeable guide. Everything was prepared to a high standard and I have no hesitation in recommending Steve for all your adventuring needs!

Myself and my 10 year old had an awesome day caving with Steve and Wendy. We hadn't caved before but got to do more than I thought we would, challenged but safe with Steve's expertise. It was an awesome day.
