Blue Mountains National Park

We will spend a few hours exploring some of the best Blue Mountains natural landscapes from the options listed below with a series of short guided wilderness walks away from the crowds: * Immerse yourself in a Jurassic wonderland of giant tree ferns and rainforest that has changed little since the time of the dinosaurs. * Wander through secluded groves of towering Eucalyptus trees, serenaded by birdsong as you breathe in the fresh mountain air and contemplate the region's ancient indigenous heritage. * Dip your toes in crystal clear mountain streams that meander through rainforest canyons before plummeting dramatically as waterfalls to the valley below. * Get up close to ancient sandstone cliffs, intricately eroded over millions of years, that are covered in a dazzling tapestry of mosses, ferns and wildflowers. * Discover native Australian animals in their natural environment, rather than in a zoo.

I cannot imagine another or better way to experience the Blue Mountains! Craig has curated an intentional and intimate experience away from crowds - seriously you will likely be exploring every space he takes you to with your group only. If you value off the beaten path tours, nature, exploring this is the tour for you.

Wow! Our family booked a private tour to the Blue Mountains with Craig and we cannot overstate what an absolutely amazing day we had - in fact, the favorite day for all of us from our entire visit in Australia! Craig catered the tour to our wishes and went beyond! Craig knows the area extremely well. We visited off the beaten track locations, experienced the Blue Mountains in a way not many tourists will. We very highly recommend booking with Craig - whether the usual tour or private. His knowledge and care will not disappoint!

The crucial factor for this excursion is the weather. Tripadvisor states that the excursion only takes place if the weather is good, and that in case of poor weather, you will receive a new date or a full refund. However, as I later found, the organiser's own website states that ‘This tour would only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions, whereby it is deemed unsafe to travel into the Blue Mountains National Park.’ Not quite the same thing. Of the 12 promised stops, about 6 were not visited, including the Three Sisters. This was due to fog and low-hanging clouds. Instead, we went kangaroo hunting in Megalong Valley, as most of the people on the bus had not yet seen any in the wild. For us, this was rather boring, as we had already been travelling for 4 weeks and had seen hundreds. All in all, it was a rather disappointing tour due to the bad weather. The guide himself tried hard to save the day. But honestly, he should have cancelled it given the visibility conditions. As it says on Tripadvisor. When I book through Tripadvisor, I don't feel obliged to adhere to the terms and conditions on his website; the terms and conditions on Tripadvisor are valid for me. The 75 metres of steps that you are supposed to climb are not entirely accurate. As you go up and down several times, the total distance is much more than 75 metres. The 75 metres is simply the maximum difference in height between the highest and lowest points and not the sum of the ascents and descents. If the hike is supposed to take 90 minutes, it ends up taking over 2 hours. When you finally catch up with the group as the last one, the guide immediately sets off again, preventing the stragglers from resting. His entire time management seemed more than shaky because he was constantly trying to make the best of the weather-related chaos. Conclusion: definitely use a weather app. If the weather looks bad in the Blue Mountains, be sure to cancel this trip 24 hours before the start and go on another day. Anything else is not worth it and is not worth all the effort.

Had a great time getting to see the Blue Mountains! Lunch was great and the van was clean and comfortable, plus the views were amazing. Seeing the Kangaroos around dusk was very cool too, definitely recommend!

This was such a wonderful tour, made extra special by Craig. He is so friendly and knowledgeable and you can tell he loves what he does as he always had a smile on during the tour. I really appreciated the smaller, more intimate group and the fact that his more local routes were not filled with many people. The hikes were invigorating with amazing views, but spotting the wild kangaroos and sunset at the three sisters was unreal. Thanks for such an amazing day!

The transport was comfortable. Craig gave details of the days plan on the way. We were taken to good lookouts that are no longer on the main routes which was special. We finished off at three sisters lookout at sunset which was beautiful. The group we were in was ten people, which I think is the maximum

I've taken many tours across different parts of the world, and this has been one of my absolute favorites. So many tours have huge groups of 20+ people and simply go to other crowd-heavy locations - all of which can ruin the magic of even the most majestic destinations. But Craig has curated an intimate, small group journey that travels to the places the masses haven't yet discovered - and I hope they never do. Our group of just six people were privileged to enjoy stunning views across different parts of the Blue Mountains, as well as watching wild kangaroos graze in the evening and catching the Three Sisters at sunset. Often we were the only ones at a location and had it entirely to ourselves, as far as the eye could see. Craig continued to go the extra mile by providing us with a delicious choice of meat pies for lunch, a full-spread tea (with snacks) at sunset, and supplied us with sunscreen and warm jackets for the changing conditions. If you're looking for a tour with scenic views, serene spaces, and a guide who has a deep love and respect for nature as well as his guests, I very highly recommend this tour.

What an amazing Aussie Day! Kudos to Craig for a wonderful itinerary and being an amazing tour guide. From our easy pickup to travel outside the city, the day started off great to get into the Blue Mountains. After enjoying a lovely meat pie lunch with our group, we began exploring and hiking. With a smaller group, we were able to get to less busy spots as well as hike off the beaten path. Wonderful views of waterfalls and plateaus, amazing photos above the cliffs, and interesting factoids throughout the various sites and spots. Everyone was adventurous and chill to enable us to hit cool sites and see some wildlife off the side of the road. After finishing the day at The Three Sisters, we enjoyed some Australian delicacies (TimTams!) and funny videos on our drive back into the city. Thanks for making our adventure day outside Sydney one we’ll never forget!
