What To Expect
We drive from Húsafell onto Langjökull (''Long Glacier''), the second largest glacier in Iceland, where our adventure begins at Klaki base camp. A thrilling snowmobile ride takes us over the immense expanse of ice & snow to the ice tunnel entrance, nestled high atop Langjökull. We spend 1 hour inside the tunnel before reboarding our snowmobiles for the return ride. A valid driver’s license is required to operate a snowmobile. Children and guests without a license can ride a double snowmobile with a licensed guest. The minimum age for joining this tour as a passenger is 8 years.c The rate per person is valid when 2 customers are sharing one snowmobile.

5.00Definitely not a cheap but an absolutely worthwhile tour. Riding the snowmobile over the glacier was really a unique experience, which I can only recommend. All guides were super nice and were happy to give info. Recommendation goes out.

5.00Beautiful experience... one of the best of my life. Our guide Omar took us on a sled ride on the glacier, a spectacular view, a view I'd never seen before. The other guide, Karen, explained everything about the ice tunnel. They were both very friendly and entertaining, but above all, knowledgeable. The driver, Domenico, is Italian. He too is very professional and knowledgeable in getting to the glacier with the ice truck, a huge beast for going on glaciers. I highly recommend this experience... thanks, Silvio and Francesca.

5.00Wonderful experience in the biggest ice tunnel in the world. The drive up to the glacier is spectacular with snow being the only thing in sight! Our wonderful guide Oli helped us understand the tunnel and how the glacier was formed. He sang a wonderful song for us with all the lights turned off allowing us to experience complete darkness with a harmonious Islandic tune. Once in a lifetime experience, thank you Oli!

5.00Amazing tour, and brilliant tour guides Matty & Ryan. Would highly recommend. We did the snowmobiling and i was nervous but it was the best thing i did here this weekend! No experience but you felt very safe and secure with guides, and the location is incredible!!

5.00Touring the Glacier Tunnel was one of the highlights of this trip. Our travel guide, Dis, did a great job, and even sang an Icelandic Lullaby to us in the newly dug wedding chapel of the Glacier Tunnel. She shared a lot of Icelandic traditions and folklore which we thoroughly enjoyed! Epic is an understatement!! We never thought we would be able to both walk ON and INTO a glacier at the same time.
