We had an amazing experience with our guide Domenico during the snowmobile and ice cave tour! He was incredibly informative, friendly, and brought such a positive energy to the whole day. During the snowmobile ride, we felt very safe at all times because he explained everything clearly and always made sure everyone was comfortable. He also took us to breathtaking spots on the mountain, gave us plenty of time for photos, and even offered multiple times to take pictures of us, which we really appreciated. The ice cave tour was just as impressive. Domenico shared lots of interesting information and made the experience fun and unforgettable. You can truly tell that he loves his job and enjoys making people have a great experience. We would highly recommend a tour with him!

Once in a lifetime experience, truly amazing. Would recommend this to anyone, the ride out to the glacier was fun and not too bumpy. The tour guides are fantastic and have really good stories to pass the time for the drive to the glacier. The experience was around 3 and a half hours and was fully worth it.

We had really high expectations for this tour, especially at $300+ per person, and unfortunately what started as a great experience quickly turned into one of the most frustrating—and honestly unsafe—excursions we’ve ever had. To start with the positives: the Into the Tunnel portion was fantastic, and the ride up was enjoyable. Our guides, Ryan and Marco (I may have the names slightly off), were friendly, knowledgeable, and made a great first impression. Unfortunately, everything went downhill during the snowmobile portion. One major surprise was learning that despite paying over $300 each, we weren’t each getting our own snowmobile—we were expected to share one and take turns driving. While that was disappointing, we were willing to roll with it. The real issue started when our snowmobile began losing power on the way up to the tunnel. It got so weak it could barely make it up the hill. We flagged down our guide, who tested it, acknowledged something was wrong, and then told us the “fix” was simply to turn it off and turn it back on. At that point, I thought it was strange, but since we were close to the tunnel, we continued. The ride back is where things became genuinely concerning. Visibility was terrible—heavy fog, snow, and almost no ability to see the group ahead. Our snowmobile kept losing power, forcing us to stop, shut it off, restart it, and try to catch back up… over and over again. Every time we stopped, we fell farther behind the group. At one point, I actually had to remove my goggles in freezing conditions just so I could see the tracks in the snow and avoid getting completely separated. Not once during this stretch did anyone proactively check on us. It wasn’t until near the very end of the ride that the guide finally came back, and when I raised the issue again, he apologized and admitted the machine clearly had a problem. Our only options at that point? Either continue riding the broken snowmobile or take his. We took his snowmobile—and surprise, it worked perfectly. But by then, the tour was basically over. What’s most frustrating is that this issue was identified early, yet nothing meaningful was done until the experience was nearly finished. Instead of enjoying what should have been an unforgettable adventure, we spent a large portion of it stressed, falling behind, restarting a faulty machine in near whiteout conditions, and genuinely concerned for our safety. For the price paid, this was simply unacceptable. Equipment should be properly maintained, and guest safety should never feel like an afterthought. I can’t recommend this experience unless major improvements are made.

Definitely not a cheap but an absolutely worthwhile tour. Riding the snowmobile over the glacier was really a unique experience, which I can only recommend. All guides were super nice and were happy to give info. Recommendation goes out.

Beautiful experience... one of the best of my life. Our guide Omar took us on a sled ride on the glacier, a spectacular view, a view I'd never seen before. The other guide, Karen, explained everything about the ice tunnel. They were both very friendly and entertaining, but above all, knowledgeable. The driver, Domenico, is Italian. He too is very professional and knowledgeable in getting to the glacier with the ice truck, a huge beast for going on glaciers. I highly recommend this experience... thanks, Silvio and Francesca.

Wonderful experience in the biggest ice tunnel in the world. The drive up to the glacier is spectacular with snow being the only thing in sight! Our wonderful guide Oli helped us understand the tunnel and how the glacier was formed. He sang a wonderful song for us with all the lights turned off allowing us to experience complete darkness with a harmonious Islandic tune. Once in a lifetime experience, thank you Oli!
