What To Expect

Hraunfossar

This cascade is an exceptionally beautiful and unusual natural pearl. The waterfall looks like it magically appears from within the lava, but it actually is a spring that surges through the ground and runs down into the Hvítá river. The waterfall streams out of Hallmundarhraun which is an ancient lava field created in an eruption from a volcano lying under Langjökull glacier.

Langjokull Glacier

Langjökull, the ‘Long Glacier’, is the second-largest glacier in Iceland, at 935 square kilometres (361 square miles). You'll follow your guide through these intricate tunnels, witnessing first-hand the ever-changing environment of glaciers.
