PADI's Discover Scuba Diving program is the first step for millions of people every year to enter the underwater adventure of Scuba Diving. We look back to many years of experience leading beginners to Ameds outstanding underwater world. Taking people the first time underwater requires a lot of care and we do everything to make your first journey as safe and enjoyable as possible.
We focus on small groups! Nobody that does this for the first time wants to be put in a large group together with other people that he or she doesn't know. There is no time limit or rush in your training. Your instructor will not push or force you into something. Its all about the fun and about you feeling safe and secure.
Diving in Amed is especially for beginners and easy and wonderful thing, as you can see so much beauty in just a few meters underwater.

What To Expect
Try diving for the first time without doing the whole way of a certification. Prerequisites: Able to swim, Medically fit for diving, Minimum age: 10 years or older Time: ½ day If you’re interested in scuba diving, but unsure if you want to enroll in a scuba certification class, Discover Scuba Diving is the perfect way to test the waters. In a very short time, you’ll learn basic scuba skills and take your first breaths underwater. We will fit you with scuba gear and one of our professional PADI instructors will explain how to use it. You’ll practice basic diving skills in one of our protected bays with pool-like conditions followed by a guided open water dive on our beautiful shallow reefs. This first dive can be followed by a second dive just for your fun and joy if you liked it. (Our recommendation) If you are a little bit scared we can also start your experience with a practice lesson in one of our resort pools to make you feel more comfortable before we go into the ocean. 5.00Perfect for a beginner who wants to discover diving, the explanations are clear and exercises are offered. Very good follow-up in the water throughout the dive. Well taken care of us between the 2 dives via a drink and a small snack. Interesting diving in terms of content, lots of fauna and flora. Speak only English.

A huge thank you to our guide Roda, who was absolutely fantastic – incredibly kind, professional, and full of contagious enthusiasm. He also took lots of amazing videos of our dives that we’ll treasure as special memories. We’d also like to warmly thank Kadek, who kindly helped us download all the photos from the GoPro we rented – super helpful and patient! A big shoutout to the entire team at Divers White Sand for their passion, friendliness, and great energy. We would dive with you again a thousand times over! 5.00Great experience! I spent my PADI Open Water with Pierre, everything went perfectly. Pierre is passionate and a well of knowledge! Not only did he teach me everything I needed for the BDP, he took the time to explain the next steps recommended for my further diving career on numerous occasions. Not to mention its many recommendations for diving spots in Indonesia and elsewhere in the world! As for the dives themselves between the corals and the visit of the Liberty wreck (!) it is hard to find fault. In short, go with your eyes closed!

5.00My partner and I dove with Coco today. I have previous dive experience (very little!) and my last dive was 15 years ago! This was my partners’ first dive, although he is a snorkeler. Coco was very patient and kind and took great care to explain everything to us. In the water, his eye was always on us and the fish, pointing out all the beautiful things the sea had to offer. Unfortunately, after my first dive I got super nauseated….Coco gave some tea and place to sit, while he and my partner returned to the sea. Would highly recommend this crew, they are experienced and attentive to safety and kind. PS: loved the funny looking razor fish!

5.00We wanted to do a diving baptism in Bali, and we fell well. Our instructor was Pierre, he was super friendly, he put us in confidence and explained everything with patience and kindness. Like I had an ear problem (no luck for me, I am fragile of the ears). We came home early. But they lent us snorkeling equipment and dropped us off at a very good observation spot. In short we had a great time!!! And above all it is worth it because it is not expensive with a real course and a real initiation. We're thrilled with our morning. Thanks to the whole team and special mention to Pierre 😉🙏
