Join us as we venture North taking in Millionaires View, Dunrobin Castle and it's Falconry Display, Loch Fleet, Dornoch and a Distillery (Tasting only)

Avoid the hustle and bustle of a larger coach group and tour in comfort around the highlands in my 16 seat minibus.

We try to get the most out of your day out so departure times will vary depending on your ships arrival. We will be standing across the road from the port security gates at 8.30 for a sharp departure and return around 3.30pm.

We will have bright rainbow umbrellas so we can be seen.

We were traveling with Avril on the "Go North" tour at the beginning of September - really highly recommended. In a small group and in the best weather we went through the Highlands and to Dunrobin Castle. Avril told us a lot about history, society , typical local things - she even had a short tasting in a whisky distillery organized for us. Highly recommended, very sympathetic - 100% recommendation!

Avril is a fanatic host and tour guide. Great communication before the tour to know where to meet. Safely drove us to the sites, Dunrobin Castle, Dornoch and Balblair distillery, while explaining the history of the various sites. Since there were golfers on the tour, she modified the tour so we could visit Royal Dornoch Golf Club. Avril is very personable and knowledgeable about this area of Scotland. Highly recommend

Avril was an amazing guide. She explained the history as well as current life in the highlands. She customized the tour fir the golfers with a short stop at the Royal Dornoch golf course, provided time at the Dunrobin Castle for the falcon demonstration. She provided great suggestions for eating and shopping in Dornoch. We stopped to watch the seals play and had a beautiful ride around the countryside. Would recommend her highly to everyone coming Invergordon.

We had a great day with Avril’s Travels. She met us at the port and whisked us away to the Dunrobin Castle. We had fun exploring Dornock on our own, and finished with a delicious stop at the distillery. I highly recommend choosing Avril.

Fantastic tour, Avril packed the day with interesting stops not only the advertised places but beauty spots on route. My wife has a problem with a knee & Avril was extremely caring & assisted her on & off the Minibus, great service! The tour packed in such a lot & we felt it was a fantastic day & would thoroughly recommend this, with the small vehicle it all felt very personal. At Dunrobin Castle Avril was able to drive down to the lower garden to collect us, which helped with the walking! Excellent day.

We had an unforgettable time thanks to Avril, who was an absolute firecracker! She was witty, funny, and bursting with energy — keeping us entertained while sharing her deep knowledge of the area. Her kindness and warmth made the whole experience feel personal and special. You could tell she genuinely loved what she was doing, and it showed in every detail. Highly recommended!

What a great tour with Avril. She is a wealth of knowledge and shared all she knew of the local history, lore and people who populated the castle and surrounds. The castle itself defies description with wonderful gardens and an excellent falconry show. When we left we headed to Dornoch where we were free to explore and find food/snacks. We opted for lunch at Milk & Honey & had a tasty and filling lunch. We had enough time for a bit of shopping & found several things to take home. A quick stop at a distillery for a taste and off we went back to the ship. I highly recommend this tour and hope you are as lucky as we were to have Avril be your guide.

Avril is very pleasant and knowledgeable. The tour covered what was stated and was all done in a timely fashion. Meeting at the pier it was easy to find her. My only thing would be for anyone tall to request not to sit by the rear wheels. I sat on the right rear wheel position and you lose a lot of leg room. I felt sorry for the tall gentleman sitting over the left wheel and sat on an angle with his legs in the aisle. This is purely the layout of the fan but someone very tall might want to keep this in mind. I think some of Avrils other tours would be awesome.

We had Avril as our tour guide for our trip and it was spectacular. The weather was perfect and the locations were wonderful. Avril provided great commentary on the locations we visited along with Scottish Highland history and lore. She had a great sense of humor and kept us all interested and engaged. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for an option outside the large tour busses.
