Take a run ‘Up’ the Southern Shore as we wind along the pretty coastal roadways that connect the outport fishing communities along Newfoundland’s Irish Loop. This is a beautiful drive along the coast with architecture and development that reflects an era of opulence thought unimaginable for this period in North American history. We’ll meet fascinating characters, visit small fishing communities, and absorb the magnitude of luxury items discovered at the Colony of Avalon archeological site.

This is a great day trip, it is a packed full day, great information. Lots of beautiful scenery. Billy was our quide, very knowledgable of the area. We had one person who doesn’t eat fish and so he made his own arrangements at lunch time, but Billy checked a few times with our person to make sure he was fine. Definitely would recommend this trip and if you are lucky you will have Billy as your quide.

Billy is a great guide who knows his stuff (also has a good singing voice). The tour is a great way to travel beyond St John’s without a car. Beautiful landscapes, seascapes, seabirds and even whales spotted on our tour. Newfoundland’s Irish heritage is fascinating to see whether you happen to be Irish or not. You get to meet and chat with members of the Newfoundland Irish community. Cod lunch was delicious. Can’t fault this tour.
