The entertainment and performances were very good however the food was a little cold and pork was under seasoned. The desserts were good. They should have a few more food options for kids. Also other luaus we've been to on Oahu have hawaiin games, photos with birds and a show of tree palm tree climbing before the dinner.

We attended the luau during our trip to the Big Island, and overall it was just okay. The setting was beautiful, and you really can’t beat the Hawaiian sunset — that part definitely lived up to expectations. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and it was nice to experience some Hawaiian culture while on vacation. That said, the food was average. There were a few good items, but nothing that really stood out or felt memorable. The buffet lines were a bit long at times, and some dishes seemed like they had been sitting out for a while. The drinks were decent, but also fairly standard. The entertainment was enjoyable, especially the fire dancers at the end — that was probably the highlight of the night. Some parts of the show felt a little drawn out, but overall it was still nice to watch and learn about the different Polynesian cultures. Overall, it was a pleasant evening and I’m glad we experienced it been to better, but it wasn’t a must-do or something I’d necessarily repeat. If you’ve never been to a luau before, it’s worth trying for the experience — just go in with moderate expectations.

What a beautiful Luau. The staff was very helpful guiding us all to where the Luau would take place, photos of our group were taken and options of purchase were available. Food was buffet style which was great so many options and tradition Hawaiian food. The host of the night did an amazing job with involving the crowd, explaining the Hawaiian culture or traditions and the dancers were fabulous. Price was great. Event was perfect time not too long we didn’t feel rushed. Beautiful views and great time overall

My wife and I attended the Island Breeze Luau during our trip in March 2026, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our time on the Big Island. The setting alone is worth it—right on the ocean at sunset with a great view and a really relaxed, authentic Hawaiian atmosphere. It didn’t feel overly commercial like some luaus can, which we appreciated. The food was solid with a good variety of traditional Hawaiian dishes. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and there was plenty to go around. Drinks were also well done and kept coming throughout the night. The performances were the standout. The dancers were incredibly talented, and the storytelling behind the different Polynesian cultures made it more than just a show—it felt like an experience. The fire dancing at the end was especially impressive and had everyone engaged. Staff were friendly and organized, and the whole event flowed smoothly from start to finish. Overall, this was a great experience for couples or anyone visiting Hawaii for the first time. If you’re in Kona and want a memorable evening with good food, culture, and entertainment, this luau is definitely worth doing.

We were able to attend this during the storm that hit Kona so we weren't able to see all of it; but, both my wife and I enjoyed it very much. It gave us a better understanding of the history and culture of the Hawaiian people and where they came from along with a taste of their food. There was an incredible feast laid out for all who attended and it was excellent. The only part we didn't get to experience was the fire demonstration which we of course couldn't do inside and it was raining outside. I also wished we could have been outside because it would have been better. But, all said, it was worth the experience and if you have a chance to experience this you should.

I'm sure if the weather was nicer it would've been great. I'm upset we paid the same price for a lesser indoor experience

The set up of the room made it very hard to see and hear the performance

The show took place in a crowded area at the corner outside of a hotel. We received free drinks which were okay then shown to our tables I thought per the ad we would have time to meet with the performers and learn how to make things. The only thing I saw was stencil, tattoos, which several people received. The food was served buffet style and reminded me of a cheap wedding. The pork was tough. The entrées varied from macaroni salad to beef teriyaki, which was the only thing good. The show itself was OK. The dancers had several costume changes, reflecting different islands but many times I felt they were performing a variation of the same dance. The fire dancer was the highlight of the show. He was truly excellent. If this is the best luau on the island I would hate to see the worst. Very disappointed, especially for the amount of money charged. I would not recommend.
