What To Expect

Antigua

This Island Safari Discovery tour’s fun starts the moment a friendly guide picks you up at your hotel, in a sturdy Land Rover SUV, which will take you exploring some of the most amazing sites in Antigua, some of the hard ones to get to. Are you ready? Along the way, your guide will tell about this beautiful island’s folklore and culture, upon arrival in Antigua’s Center of Interpretation of National Parks, your knowledge will be reinforced with some history nuggets. Afterwards, enjoy the impressing panoramic vista of Falmouth Port at Horford Hill, while you quench your thirst with a cool drink, right before resuming this fascinating safari until reaching Potworks Dam, one of the largest bodies of fresh water in the Oriental Caribbean. And after such hectic a day by now you’d surely have worked up an appetite, and to address just that a delicious picnic-style delicious lunch. Next, you´ll hit Devil’s Bridge, a rocky formation. Last, but not least, you´ll reach Long Bay.

The tour did not include that Catamaran trip described in the advert. After 5/6 emails, Nexus still have not acknowledged this, They continue to investigate the matter.

We took ages deciding which tour was going to be the right one for us, but luckily we had Paloma at the Royalton Antigua and she was an absolute angel! She went above and beyond to help us and in the end we chose the best tour! It was so much fun (although a little bumpy!!) lunch was delicious and the views are insane!!!

I was part of the Island Safari and Stingray City Excursion...Firstly, the tour takes place in the tray of an open air van... now if we were slowly drving through to view nature, I could understand but we drove directly to certain locations... also the face to face way we were seated didn't allow us to view even the sites on the way ..we could have been seated in an AC van for this trip. Also, our driver didn't even bother pointing out sites to us on the way... The sites when we got there were beautiful thankfully

Best bootcamp from all of the resorts I’ve been at! Elvis not only encourages you but also challenges you! Energy, effort and Elvis. The 7.30am yoga is also great to recover those sore muscles!

We had a great time driving round the island and visiting some pretty cool stops, we got local history as well as local knowledge of places to check out. Lunch was provided and was so good.

Our tour guide Flavor/Flava was awesome. He was super knowledgable about the island and provided so much history. This tour was wonderful, we visited all the key points on the island, Devils Bridge, Nelsons Dockyard, Shirley Heights, Bettys Hope. We have enough time at each place to take photos and browse on our own. We enjoyed lunch, included in the tour price, at Bettys Hope Plantation as well as drinks all day throughout the tour. Definitely recommend this tour if you want to learn more about the beautiful island of Antigua.

The company cancelled my trip on the day we were due to go and said they would refund within 5-7 days however my monies have still not been sent back to me a month after cancellation! Loads of emails sent which are just being ignored. As a regular visitor to Royalton (the hotel that attaches its name to this company on sites) I cannot believe the service - it’s shocking. In addition to this they missold me the safari trip that was supposed to include Shirley Heights and accepted that they made an error and would refund half of that trip too. Again I’m still waiting for the money a month later. Almost $600 has been withheld from me Which has left me without money to do other things. I am still waiting for my refund Alongside all the others who were expecting to go on the Sunset Cruise trip with no explanation. When will we receive our money nexus???

Danian picked us up from the Royalton and as luck would have it we were the only two on board. Danien was informative and patient. He looked after us well. Not only did p he do all the tourist spots on the schedule but he took routes though local communities to show and explain island life. Often pulling over to point out local fruits and vegetation. He was rightly proud of the local schools and medical facilities he pointed out. This was a tour with a bit more, and we finished the day feeling like we had seen Antigua.

Guide was very knowledgeable about the island…but kept on talking about selling and buying land and houses or how buildings now had to be able to withstand a hurricane. There were several overlooks that could have been visited as well. Lunch was delish. Roads were very very bumpy.
