We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day small-group adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive monster, and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside (optional, pay locally).
After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

This trip was truly amazing. Genuinely the best day of my whole life. Donnie was a FANTASTIC guide and had funny anecdotes, stories, and history about all the places we went. Each place was stopped was absolutely stunning. The drive to each place was just as beautiful; stunning views of mountains, forests, and fog coming over cliffs and water falls. The time we stopped at each location was perfect, and Donnie gave us the wiggle room to push that time a wee bit to get the absolute most out of each stop. There were plenty of stops for bathroom breaks and photos. The quiraing was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. We brought snacks for lunch and spent our time in Portree gift shopping and looking for shells and sea glass along the coast. This trip is ABSOLUTELY worth the money!! Best day ever!!!!!!!

Absolutely wonderful tour. Our guide was full of information about the Highlands and famous Scots. The stops were gorgeous and Eilean Donan Castle was by far my favorite castle to visit.

Too bad not to be able to share the Mood as a French.....The audio guide is very succinct, we manage with and listen to what we like...... throughout the trip the guide speaks in English, certainly tells pleasant anecdotes seen laughter but we feel excluded.... Fortunately the visits were superb as expected at booking.
