We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day small-group adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive monster, and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside (optional, pay locally).
After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

Martin was an amazing tour guide. His stories added so much to the incredible sights. Hairy coos, amazing views, but alas no puffins. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Emily did a great job telling stories and taking care of us. The stops were beautiful and nicely timed. I recommend, however, not to schedule two tours in a row. Spending hours on a bus, seated like sardines in a can, is a bit much for two days in a row.

If you are looking for incredible views blended with the history of the highlands, then this tour is for you. Emily was a great tour guide and an expert story teller. 10/10 would recommend.

Emily was a true delight and so knowledge. She is also very witty and I felt entirely safe with her driving us around some steep hills. Today was magical and Emily definitely contributed to that.

Martin was absolutely awesome. I’ve have him twice now as a guide and you can tell he is very passionate about his work and story telling (great for someone who sucks at history).

Long day with a lot to pack in. Karen, our guide/driver was very good. She got us to all the stops and explained or actually showed us the best viewing locations or places to see or eat. She was great and took many pictures for many of the group. I know you cannot pick your guide, but I highly recommend Karen.

Sonia was a fantastic guide. She had the right mix of humor, storytelling and history. The beautiful scenery speaks for itself but she added her gift for storytelling which made the whole experience that much better. If I could change one thing it would be to have fewer stops but stay longer at a few like Portree and Eilean Donan Castle.
