We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day small-group adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive monster, and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside (optional, pay locally).
After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

It is recommended to book transport to the departure point in advance. Please also allow extra time to get to the departure point for check-in. We advise you arrive at least 15 minutes before the tour departure to allow time to check-in for the tour. Unfortunately, we are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals.
Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.
Children under 5 years old, including infants who do not require a seat, are not permitted to travel. We are unable to accommodate any child under the age of 5.
Eilean Donan Castle can be subject to closures for private events. If so, additional time will be allocated elsewhere and the castle will be a photo stop.

Due to vehicle availability, there may be instances where this tour runs on a bigger bus.

5.00A day trip to Skye with Emily was quite a pleasant and wonderful experience. It was a jolly 12 hour trip with her, stopping at the great scenic spots and never boring wee folklore stories of the island!!!

5.00We had a lovely tour with Emily! She made the day so much fun and we truly enjoyed our tour! Emily was very knowledgeable and gave us so much history to learn! I would highly recommend this tour with Emily and all the lovely sights to be seen! Definitely recommend bringing a rain jacket and some good rain boots with some tread for the weather during November! We loved the rain so it was a perfect day! Thank you for a lovely day!

5.00We had an awesome tour going through the Isle of Sky and Eilean Donan castle! Emily was a great tour guide! Definitely recommend booking a day tour with her. She was very informative and funny. It was super rainy the whole day but that didn’t stop us from visiting all of the places on the itinerary. Even though the roads were windy and narrow, I felt very safe. Thank you for a very fun day!
