    I highly recommend this introduction to Jakarta’s monuments and history. Jakarta is a fascinating city, but can be intimidating to a newcomer. Mr. Borneo was the perfect guide—full of energy, insights, and humor. He made us fall in love with this incredible city!

    Heavy traffic everywhere in Jakarta, particularly in the port and downtown area. Travel time is unpredictable. Our guide managed the time well. There was no time for lunch in the restaurant. We brought some food and ate in the car during the traffic jam. It was rainy season in December and we could not visit the old Harbor because it was flooded.

    Enok was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable about the history and cultural sites of Jakarta. The car was very comfortable and the driver knew the short cuts to avoid traffic, as much as possible. She made the tour very memorable for us by including a Tuktuk and ride, walking through old China town and a wonderful visit to Kota Tua ( old city). Lunch at Cafe Batavia was the icing on the cake. Enok also explained about local delicacies including drinks like Jamu - a truly refreshing drink after a long walk. The buggy ride around the old city transported us to the old colonial past of Jakarta. We highly recommend the tour and Enok as the guide.
