What To Expect

You can easily try calligraphy! The instructor will convert your name into kanji on the spot. The written work will be presented as a souvenir on a hanging scroll.

What‘s Included

For the kimono experience, if you rent it, the kimono and tabi socks are included.

We will provide all the necessary equipment for calligraphy, such as brushes, paper, and ink.

If you choose the calligraphy experience, a souvenir hanging scroll will be included.

If you want to add text to a tattoo sticker or T-shirt, there will be an additional charge.

If you wish to purchase a kimono, you will need to pay the purchase fee.

Miho was very friendly and kind. Most importantly she was knowledgeable and go above and beyond to show you what is required to write in Japanese. I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to write in Japanese. She s truly gifted, very patient and an excellent instructor.

It was a super nice authentic experience, from a super friendly teacher! She was kind and helpful. The location was a classroom, but that is flexibel. It is nice to learn how to write kanji, but also to learn what your (western) name means in kanji! She gave us our own kanji on a nice roll and some treats with it. I totally recommend it!

I was able to experience calligraphy, something I've always wanted to do! It was fun! They taught me carefully. I was able to take home the characters I wrote, and I could even have them turned into tattoo stickers on the spot. It would make a great souvenir. Thank you very much.
