Marche Jean-talon (jean-talon Market)
Jean-Talon Market is an established open-air farmer's market with many vendors selling produce, meats, cheeses, fish & baked goods. It is the largest market in Montreal and one of the largest open-air markets in North America.
Built in 1933 on the former lacrosse field of the Irish team, the Shamrocks, Shamrock Place is a popular pedestrian zone connecting Jean-Talon Market to St-Laurent Boulevard.

5.00Dominique is a fun and energetic tour guide. She was very personable and provided much information about the area and the food that we were sampling. We ate just the right amount of food on the tour, not too little and not too much. If you do this tour, I would recommend doing it at the beginning of your stay in Montreal so you can bring things back to your hotel or come to some of the food shops during the rest of your stay. This area was fun to explore and all of the food tasted great. I would revisit all of the places and shops should I return to this area again. Dominique interacted wonderfully with all of the staff at all locations which was a great sign as well. Great tour. Thanks Dominique
