Marche Jean-talon (jean-talon Market)
Jean-Talon Market is an established open-air farmer's market with many vendors selling produce, meats, cheeses, fish & baked goods. It is the largest market in Montreal and one of the largest open-air markets in North America.
A historic fire station originally constructed in the early 20th century that served as a key part of Montreal’s fire protection services. The building itself is an architectural gem, with its distinctive red brick façade and classic design reflecting the civic pride of the time.

We took the Little Italy and Jean Talon Market tour in Montreal. Eric was our guide and he knew all the local spots to go to, including eating pizza in a supermarket! The tour also takes you through the streets of Little Italy and Eric shares so much history of the city and the area with you during the walk. Once in Jean Talon Market, you get time to shop on your own and look around before finishing off with mici and sorbet. This was such a great way to try lots of different foods ans see the area. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Montréal!

We took the Little Italy tour in Montreal with Eric and it was amazing. He knew so much history of the area that we were learning lots while eating throughout the tour! The food we tasted also highlighted some really great local restaurants we probably never would have found on our own. For the second half of the tour, our food was in the Jean Talon Market and we also got time to explore the market. We loved seeing all the vendors ans fresh produce. And the sorbet was unbelievable! Would highly recommend this tour if you are in Montreal!

I had a great time with the talented, warm, energetic tour guide Eric. Eric is a 30yr resident of Montreal. He knows all the secrets of food and history of Montreal’s Little Italy. When you visit, book your tour and come hungry!

The ride is very nice. It allows you to visit the Little Italy district and the surrounding Jean Talon market towers a little away from the crowds, in independent establishments. The tastings that Eric made us do were all delicious. Special mention for the San Gennaro cafe, where I ate the best cannoli of my life.

Youlia was the tour guide. She was very knowledgeable with the food and history. Because of the cold and icy weather, she made sure everyone was all right when we went to each stop.

Our tour guide, Eric, was fantastic. Great food selections. Very knowledgeable. Good starting and ending locations. I particularly appreciated Eric reaching out to confirm meeting location and warn of weather conditions.

Eric was a fantastic guide. He communicated frequently before the tour to make you aware of what to expect and allow for any dietary restrictions. The tour was well organized and every tasting was delicious. My favorite was the espresso and cannoli. Eric gave a very nice history of Montreal and how each stop blended into that history. I highly recommend it.

Eric did a super job guiding our tour. The food was delicious. Servings were appropriate sizes for the event, not so large as to overwhelm and not too small. Pace was perfect for our group. He was friendly and welcoming.
