Marche Jean-talon (jean-talon Market)
Jean-Talon Market is an established open-air farmer's market with many vendors selling produce, meats, cheeses, fish & baked goods. It is the largest market in Montreal and one of the largest open-air markets in North America.
A historic fire station originally constructed in the early 20th century that served as a key part of Montreal’s fire protection services. The building itself is an architectural gem, with its distinctive red brick façade and classic design reflecting the civic pride of the time.

We shared a wonderful afternoon with Donna-Lynn our guide and the rest of the people we met on the tour. The market is abundant with wares and people and Donna-Lynn was Abe, to give context to the history of the area and Montréal. Highly recommend this tour

We had such a delightful tour with Eric. He was so kind and considerate, he even brought a table cloth to use. All his insight and trivia questions were a delightful addition to the tour. All the food was delicious and he was quick to accommodate any likings. Felt like we were touring with a family member.

Tour guide showed up 5 minutes late. Food was at most ranked a C. Guide knew little or nothing of the area or Montreal. Gave her a $20 tip because she was trying, but failing.

Just being at the market was worth the price of the tour. Eric gave us a view of many of the cultures represented and a variety of foods that they served. He provided tidbits of Canadian history and did a great job of getting our diverse group to feel comfortable with each other.

Had a fantastic time with 2 other friends. The food was delicious and the length of the tour was perfect. Lucas was a terrific guide and we’ll definitely do another. Hopefully Lucas will host that one as well.

Eric was an amazing guide! He checked in with us the morning of the tour to let us know all was on track, sent us a photo of himself and clear meeting instructions, and curated a special tour with some amazing intricate spots we would not have happened upon outside of his tour. Highly recommend Eric as he is knowledgeable and welcoming to all guests!
