Camara De Lobos
Câmara de Lobos the name of this Village comes from the fact that, at the time of the island’s discovery, there was a large number of monk seals in the cove, which can still be found here today in the same configuration. In this region, several monuments remain that refer to this historical period, from the chapel of Nossa Senhora da Conceição, founded in the 15th century, to the old convent of São Bernardino, from 1425, passing by the church of São Sebastião, built in the 16th century. The landscape of this city is marked by the presence of characteristic fishing boats, known as "Xavelhas". Come with us to Câmara de Lobos! From this point we go up to the cliffs.
Faja Do Rancho Beach
From the point view of Rancho on Câmara de Lobos we can see the beach of Fajã do Cabo Girão is one of the most special places on the south coast of Madeira Island. The exuberance of nature found in this narrow strip of land by the sea impresses any visitor. The coastal plains of Madeira are known for their high fertility. However, access to these small coastal territories has always been a challenge, given the difficult task of overcoming the steep rock walls that protect them. This is the case of the Cabo Girão plain, which for a long time was only accessible on foot (often carrying goods on their backs).

If you’re unsure about which tour to choose out of all the many tours on this app, go with this one. Our guide was very friendly, super knowledgeable, and took us on some roads only locals would know. He showed us the most amazing spots and view points one would often see in their dreams or movies. I highly recommend this tour as it will change your mind about wanting to explore or drive on your own.

very warm guide who provided us with great information and responded to our wishes – thank you Justino 🙏🏻 we had a lot of fun driving through the steep streets with the wind of eucalyptus impregnated air around our noses. 🤩😎 We felt we saw the whole island. Swimming in the Porto Moniz pool is a must – the Atlantic is still quite warm 🌊 🏊♀️

Highly recommend this tour. Jake was our driver his off road driving skills were excellent. We had plenty of time at stops 20 mins each stop and 2 hours at lunchtime, which gave plenty of time for swimming. Our last stop we tried some wine tasting. I would recommend this tour without hesitation.

It was recommended to me to do a Jeep Tour on my first day in Madeira. So glad we did. Justino our jeep driver and tour guide was fabulous. He was super knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information about the island. He took us on some of the narrowest steepest streets I have ever been on, an adrenaline rush but felt completely safe. I highly recommend this tour and found it to be excellent value.
