Continue to the ancient streets of the Old City towards the holiest of Jewish sites, the famous Western Wall. Make the historical journey through time using rooftops on the special Rooftop Ramparts tour- a unique tour of the 4 quarters of the Old City.
Walk through the Cardo, the main thoroughfare of Byzantine Jerusalem making a stop at the 4 famous Sephardic synagogues all the way back to the Western Wall.
Then we will drive through the new city and pass city highlights like the High Court of Justice, the Israeli Museum, and the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) and descend towards the lowest spot on the planet.
We will take a short nature walk through Ein Gedi Oasis- enjoying the fresh water natural waterfalls.

5.00This was our second trip with Shachar and we came with a list of things we wanted to see and do and Shachar made them all happen and more! Our group had some who had never been to Israel before and others who had been several times and Shachar reached each one of us and made sure everyone was getting what they needed. He is incredibly knowledgeable and his passion for his country shines through. He patiently answers all of our thousands of questions- from history, to the current political situation, to basics of daily Israeli life. His flexibility and great sense of humor were awesome. The places he picked for us to stay were exquisite. We are already starting to plan our return trip to Israel and can’t imagine going with anyone else. Shachar and Hands on Israel is truly special.

5.00Shachar is a walking Wikipedia. He knows something about everything in the history of ancient and current Israel. This was our first visit and he covered almost the entire country with an ongoing documentary. From walking to drive by to all terrain in the mountains- we were always expectant and never disappointed.
