Meet your guide In front of Hotel Gaudí, Pedro Risso sin número, Junto a la Terminal de Ómnibus - Parada 1, 20100 Punta del Este, Departamento de Maldonado, Uruguay. Please do not enter the hotel, it is only a meeting point and the staff is not informed about the tour.

Great private guided walking tour

4.00We arrived on Celebrity Equinox and did a short walk to meet our private tour guide. Favio is a very nice guy with all the skills and knowledge to do a city tour. He is fluent in English and very eager to please us as guests. However, this tour was sold as a Jewish Tour and it was not. Favio was called and asked to do this tour but when we arrived he told us he didn’t know hardly anything about Jewish culture or life in his city. He knew a few things having brushed up on when and who came to the city but not much else. We didn’t see any Jewish sites or discuss the current status. Apparently all of the city’s Jewish restaurants and most of its members leave at the end of summer (fall just arriving in Uruguay) Bottom line, I would recommend Favio for a city tour. I would not recommend Rossotours who sold us a tour that they could not provide.
