  • Learned amazing history of Kraków from a great guide!

This tour is a wonderful mix of stories about well-known and lesser-known Jews and gentiles, combined with religious and street art, and food. We decided not to include food tastings in the tour because our time was limited, but we later visited the places Olga mentioned on our own and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. Olga is a very informative and engaging guide, and she answered all our questions. The tour was well planned from start to finish. We had a very enjoyable experience

We booked this tour with Olga because it seemed different from the typical walking tours, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Olga is a very knowledgeable guide who can dive deep not only into the history of Polish Jews but also into the broader story of Ashkenazi Jewry and its connections across countries. She presented Krakow’s Jewish history in an informative and engaging way, illustrating her stories with street and religious art, and food. She shared fascinating stories about local Jews and gentiles who left their mark on the city’s Jewish heritage.

Olga was our guide for this well curated four hour walking tour. She impressed us with her knowledge of history. She had done her homework and this tour was not a spiel - she was thoughtful about answers to our questions. Through our walk of the more popular sites - Kraków’s main square and the Wawel Castle - and lesser known areas such as the cobbled lanes of Kazimierz and internal courtyards that are unpainted but well lived in, we feel that we had a much better understanding of Krakow than possible without the tour.

We took the Krakow Jewish Heritage tour with Olga. These were four very interesting and delighting hours. Olga is very knowledgeable and charming, speaks very good English, and has personal roots in Jewish history. I highly recommend this tour: it was one of the best highlights of our stay in Krakow.

If you are looking for a private tour guide who goes beyond standard scripts and brings deep research, passion, and precision to the experience, Olga is the one to choose. During my recent trip to Krakow, Olga and I had a wonderful time exploring Kazimierz and enjoying traditional Polish cuisine. It was an immersive experience I wouldn’t have had without her. She is detailed oriented and eager to share fascinating facts and insights, which made exploring Kazimierz even more engaging - especially with its rich history and unique Jewish heritage. If the opportunity arises, I would love to tour with her again - both in Poland and other parts of Europe. She is THAT good!

  • Two days in Krakow, through Jewish quarter and Schindler's List

I had a wonderful experience on my two-day tour in Krakow! On the first day, we explored the Old Town starting near the Barbakan, walked through the beautiful Rynek, and finished in the charming Kazimierz district, the former Jewish quarter, after eating in a traditional Polish restaurant. The next day, we visited several locations where Schindler’s List was filmed, which was fascinating to see in real life. My guide was fantastic - she was knowledgeable, friendly, and told lots of interesting stories that really brought Krakow’s history to life. I especially appreciated how she made the tours engaging and easy to follow, even with so many details. I learned a lot and had a great time. Highly recommended!

We know Olga, Your Jewish Heritage Guide, through her virtual tours for the New York Jewish Museum. When we decided to come to Kraków, we booked a three-day tour program with her that included this tour. It was a great way to learn about Kraków’s multi-layered Jewish history. Olga shared the history of the medieval community, then we discussed the 19th century, and finally the WWII and post-war periods. She presented this immense history through stories about people, religious and street art, and food. Being able to try Jewish-Polish dishes in a centuries-old Jewish house was amazing. A very interesting and well-delivered tour. Thank you, Olga!

We are a couple in our 60s who traveled to Kraków and Poland to explore our roots. We started our trip in Warsaw and then took a train to Kraków. In Kraków, we booked Olga with Your Jewish Heritage Guide because we had followed her Jewish virtual tours. Olga is super knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. We loved the tour because it was quite different from a typical Jewish history walking tour. She presented Kraków’s Jewish history through different people—Jews and non-Jews, both famous and little known. We explored Jewish art, from beautiful contemporary murals to old religious art. We also visited local restaurants, talked about Jewish-Polish food, Ashkenazi cuisine, and Polish food, and discovered fascinating influences and connections. It was a fantastic day in Kraków with an amazing guide!

  • Fantastic Jewish Krakow and Zakopane experience

I booked Olga for my 3 day stay in Krakow by email. On the first day we did this tour, which I enjoyed very much. It was a bit of everything: history, architecture, religious art and street murals (amazing!) and food. I didn’t do any tastings during the tour. But a had dinners on two days in the restaurants that Olga showed me during the tour. It was a super exciting experience to have Polish Jewish food that I know since my childhood in the former prayer house that stands on the ruins of the medieval Mikveh, I also learnt a lot about Jewish and gentile personalities who played an important role in lives of Krakow Jews. Olga is a great story teller and a very engaging person. On the second day we went to Zakopane. I was not interested in thermal baths or hiking. I was more keen to explore Zakopane’s culture and Jewish history. Olga has a wealth of knowledge and delivered another fantastic tour. Thank you, Olga for making me fall in love with Krakow and Zakopane.
