Jingshan Park is the perfect viewing platform for the Forbidden City. From the Wanchun Pavilion at the top of the hill, you get a breathtaking, panoramic view of the entire palace complex—truly magnificent. The park itself isn’t large, but each of the five pavilions along the central axis has its own charm. In spring, the peonies are in full bloom; in autumn, the ground is covered in golden ginkgo leaves. It’s beautiful in every season. Here, history and natural scenery come together seamlessly. Highly recommended for a visit!

it is a short stroll from the Forbidden City's north gate, this man-made hill is a gift to every visitor. The climb to the top of Wanchun Pavilion is gentle and rewarding in a way that photographs can only hint at. Reaching the summit and turning to face south is a moment you will never forget. Spread out before you is the entire Forbidden City, a vast, silent sea of golden roofs and intricate courtyards, perfectly aligned along the city's central axis. It’s the view that gives context to everything—the sheer scale, the imperial ambition, the breathtaking symmetry. It’s an absolute must-do and the perfect starting point to appreciate old Beijing

We thoroughly enjoyed our morning with Mr. Aaron. His knowledge and experience truly enlightened us, and we greatly appreciated his patience as we stopped to take photos along the way. His suggestions for great photo and video opportunities were very helpful, and the lunch was excellent.

Mr. Aaron was very knowledgeable and kind. I toured Jingshan Park, which is lovely, and walked to the top of the drum tower. We also saw a drum performance. Then we walked through many hutongs & had a delicious lunch. I recommend Mr. Aaron & the tour.

The tour with Miss Maggie was very educational, she taught us the history of the Jingshang Park but also that of the Forbidden City in a fantastic way. As an extra, we were introduced to the residential areas of Beijing where Miss Maggie taught us how a traditional Chinese family lives and how their status can be read from the housing complex and the entrance. We could not wish for a better guide than Miss Maggie. Good luck and success to Miss Maggie.
