This is a tour designed for travelers, who seek to step further than most and feel like real explorers. Combine an ice cave visit with an adventurous hike, as you venture deep into the glacier. You will visit blue ice caves and canyons, which most people don't go to. By hiking further we manage to stay away from the crowds. On this tour there is also plenty of time for photography without feeling rushed.
The tour starts with a 40 min 4x4 ride to the glacier. After arriving at the glacier's esge we gear up and set off for the glacier hike. Expect to spend 3 - 3,5 hours on the glacier and in the caves. If the conditions allow we try to visit more spectacular formations, such as ice canyons, crevasses and moulins. The tour ends with a similar drive back to the starting point. You will come back feeling like an accomplished adventurer!

We loved the glacier walk and ice cave tour! Our guide Luke “Ice Walker” was excellent. He served as a great educator during the tour and helped us take great pictures! We visited 2 ice caves and an ice slot canyon carved by the water. The caves change over time and the guides do a great job of scouting new caves to include for the tour. We would absolutely do it again on a return trip.

This was our favorite experience in Iceland! Glacier + hiking is not something that sounded fun to me, but my husband really wanted to see the ice caves. 6 hours was the perfect amount of time for this tour, 3 hours would’ve felt too rushed. The ice caves were gorgeous! I don’t know where else in the world you could see something like them so 100% you should add this to your list of things to do in Iceland. Martin was such a fun guide and was always giving us information on the caves. We got to see 2 caves and a crevasse. Just be aware that this was somewhat of a physical activity since we had around 2 hours of climbing up hill. Definitely worth it!

Our guides Lucaz and Karolina were phenomenal. They were very well organized, safe, patient, knowledgeable, and friendly! We were provided with helmets and crampons. We met at the parking lot and took a shuttle to the glacier with a group of about 10. We were originally booked on a day that was forecasted to have rain and strong winds. The team messaged us in advance and recommended we change dates if possible. We are so grateful they did because it led to the perfect engagement! Lucaz went above and beyond, separating the group from my partner and I for a moment so that my fiancee could propose. He took the best photos! Highly recommend - once in a life time experience!!!

I recently had the opportunity to take part in the glacier walk and ice cave tour, and it was an unforgettable experience. The entire trip was extremely well-organized, and our guide made sure we felt safe and comfortable at every stage. The glacier walk was both thrilling and educational — we learned a lot about the local geology and the formation of ice structures. The highlight of the tour was definitely the ice cave. Its crystal-blue walls and unique shapes were breathtaking, and our guide gave us plenty of time for photos and exploration. I truly appreciated the balance between adventure and safety throughout the whole experience.
