I was a bit wary of this tour after reading mixed reviews, but in the end was really happy we booked it. It left on time and the tour guide gave a lot of interesting commentary along the way. They were well organised. On the way back down it’s via Lauterbrunnen, and the scenery is spectacular. Up on the mountain, you only really can fit in a couple of activities. We opted for the tubing at the fun park, and went straight there on arrival and didn’t have to wait in a queue. After that we went to the glacier plateau and ice cave. Didn’t have time for the sphinx observation after those things, but had seen enough spectacular views and done enough that it didn’t concern us. We were up there for a bit over two hours. I’m glad we booked it.

Be ready for some breath taking scenery... take water bottles... take warm clothing, it gets very cold in the mountains

It was crowded, with quite a bit of traveling, transferring to different types of transportation and walking, but it was ALL worth it. I would do it again!

This was, without a doubt, the most unforgettable day trip of my entire life. Every moment was extraordinary, and it was worth every single dollar spent. From start to finish, the experience was flawlessly organized, leaving us free to fully enjoy the beauty around us without a single worry. Our guide, Carola, was nothing short of exceptional—knowledgeable, warm, attentive, and truly passionate about what she does. Her energy and insight elevated the entire journey. If you’re considering this trip, don’t wait another second—BOOK IT NOW! You won’t regret it.

The tour was well organised and the guide looked after the group well and provided a wealth of information to make the experience enjoyable. One fly in the ointment was the failure to alert us to the rule of not eating in the cogwheel train which is unlike in normal trains in Switzerland. This resulted in one of our group being admonished by the train guard with some rudeness which was uncalled for. The time available to explore the glacier was very limited. If you wish to try zipline, tobogganing, sledging etc in addition to fitting in a meal this group tour is not suitable.
