As the Jungfraujoch is covered in snow all year round, we recommend bringing a warm jacket, shoes with a solid rubber sole and sun glasses to experience all indoor and outdoor attractions. Please note that there is no possibility to rent clothes or shoes on top of the Jungfraujoch.
Routing and means of transport may have to be amended during maintenance work and depending on seasonal schedules without prior notice. A minimum stay of 2 hours on the top of Jungfraujoch is always guaranteed.
Recommendations by Jungfrau Railways to enjoy the stay at high altitude: 1) You should be physically fit and healthy. 2) Good footwear is important for getting around safely. 3) Not recommended for pregnant women from the 7th month or with high-risk pregnancies, and for children under 2 years due to difficulties equalising pressure and insufficient fluid intake.

Fernando was a great guide. This is a larger tour but was fine. Everything was very organized. We enjoyed our day and would recommend.

The bus was comfortable, the journey was beautiful and the top of the mountain and all it included were very good. My only wish would be that the guides be more informative as to what we were seeing or history of the area along the way. When coming from a different country, we don’t necessarily know what we’re looking at or how it came to be and many times that what we find most interesting.

We travelled to Jungfraujoch from Interlaken with Elizabeth, who entertained us with her stories of the Alps and of growing up in Switzerland on our way to Grindelwald. The ticket price covers the gondola and cogwheel train rides from Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch (11300 ft), which unfortunately was blanketed in clouds and snow by the time we got there (it was also bitterly cold; -8 C/ 18 F). We took the Alpine Sensation and Ice Palace tours and ventured out for a short walk on the glacier from the Sphinx Observation terrace but had to come back quickly due to the weather. Jungfraujoch has several restaurants and a Lindt chocolate shop at the summit where visitors can pass their time in inclement weather, which is what we did. Please remember to keep drinking water during your ascent; my wife felt light-headed at the very end of the tour and needed assistance to board the cogwheel train from Jungfraujoch to the Eiger glacier station (she was fine once we descended to the Eiger glacier station). We returned to Interlaken via Lauterbrunnen, admiring its waterfalls and picturesque beauty, much like most of this wonderful country.

There should be signs in the ice caves about voice volume. People were shouting and screaming to each other, and it was an echo chamber. It made it very unpleasant for the other guest, trying to enjoy the experience.

Our guide, Andrea, was the absolute best! This is a very well organized tour that made this visit even better than expected. She managed to keep the group all together with all of the different modes of transportation we took. We had a day full of beautiful sunshine which enhanced our views of the mountains surrounding Junfraujoch.

We did the Jungfraujoch trip from Interlaken. I thought the Jungfrau region and Jungfraujoch itself was incredible and I loved that part of the tour. However I would have rather taken the trains from Interlaken up to Jungfraujoch and bought a ticket for admission vs this trip. I usually love guided tours but the tour guide, while very nice and a great speaker, just did not have the opportunity to share much info between the relatively short drive between Interlaken and Grindelwald. I imagine the people on the tour coming from Lucerne or Zurich got far more info. The guide did offer a tour through Jungfraujoch too but it immediately felt rushed and our relatively small group got quickly broken up in the crowds (and it truly wasn’t even that crowded!) we had just over 2 hours and that was enough to enjoy most of the exhibit, spend a good amount of time outside, and peruse the gift shops but not enough time to have a meal there. Also, the Eiger Express was closed for maintenence so we took 2 trains (which is fine and disclosed in the fine print of the booking) but if this alone was your only high alps experience using an aerial cable car you would have missed out!
