A decent trip - but you will be taken to a tourist shop

4.00This was a very well organised trip and the guide was good. I wasn’t keen on the restaurant that we ate at - it was quite a generic hotel and a very generic buffet. It’s the place that all the tour groups go to so it gets busy very quick with a long queue to the food. Not madly keen on the time spent in the shop that is attached to the ‘rooftop terrace’ for the views that we were shown - I find it really annoying when this happens but as someone who spends 6 months of the year travelling, I have no issue with saying that I’m not going to buy anything.

5.00Lovely places to visit but traveling takes up a lot of the day. Both buildings are amazing and the architecture and history are fantastic but there is nothing else to see around the area

5.00Great tour, the amphitheatre at El Jem is a must see. In Kairouan, the two mosques are impressive although it would've been nice to see more of the medina. We also did not get to see the Aghlabid Basins, although it looked like they were closed due to construction work.

5.00The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The places we visited were fascinating. The one thing I was perplexed with and they was the lack of non-Muslims not being allowed into the mosque. Strange given the Blue Mosque in Istanbul welcomes all to enjoy and pray in their amazing building. El Jem is fascinating. The architecture at a time of limited tools shows how talented these people were. Lunch was provided. It was tasty and plentiful. A memorable day was had by all.

4.00The guide was very knowledgeable and kind. He talked about the general history of Tunisia, as well as the specific places of Kairouan and El Jem. We were given time on our own in the museum and at the amphitheatre at El Jem. No real downsides to the trip, maybe some more time walking in the Medina in Kairouan but it was already a full day.
