What To Expect
Sigiriya Lion Rock
Firstly visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Rising from the central plains, the iconic rocky outcrop of Sigirya is perhaps Sri Lanka’s single most dramatic sight. Near-vertical walls soar to a flat-topped summit that contains the ruins of an ancient civilization. Climb the 5th-century rock fortress and walk through the entrance framed by the paws of a lion (which give the fortress its name, “The Lion Rock”). View the beautiful unfaded murals that brought Sigiriya its fame, climb the steep staircase to the terraced gardens, and walk through the tunnels throughout the palace. You’ll get an eerie feeling of times long past.
Sigiriya Village Ayurvedic Spa
You will be starting your Sigiriya village tour at 12.00. At approximately 1.00 pm you will have lunch. Thereafter you will enjoy a bullock cart ride while enjoying sightseeing of the rural village life. Your next phase of adventure will be a “Catamaran Safari” (Double paired canoe joined together with seating facility) at the scenic lake.

5.00I had an amazing time in Sri Lanka, and it truly wouldn’t have been the same without Sam. He was incredibly flexible, kind, and always gave me the freedom to explore at my own pace while still being there whenever I needed help or guidance. His knowledge of Sri Lanka really added so much depth to the experience—definitely 5-star service. He made sure I was comfortable and safe throughout the entire trip and went above and beyond to arrange everything smoothly. A special thank you to Sam for managing to secure last-minute train tickets for my two friends—that was such a thoughtful gesture. It’s a shame I couldn’t stay longer in Kandy, as he was eager to show me more of his beautiful hometown. Hopefully next time!

5.00My guide Indica was just so kind and it was a great trip. They will be flexible enough to organize the tour while listening to our wishes. The fees were reasonable and did not add up to anything more than what we had discussed beforehand. We happened to be approached by Indica-san near Kandy station, and we decided on a tour that would follow. WhatsApp interactions are convenient. I wanted to catch a tea train, so I had booked a train from Kandy to Nanuoya in Japan, but they picked me up in Nanuoya and then took me to a tea factory in the Nuwara area and a restaurant by a waterfall (very good!). I was also planning to go to Ambulwa Tower, but it was difficult due to the time, so he suggested an Ayurvedic massage near Kandy instead. The next day we enjoyed Sigiriya Rock and safari. We also stopped by Noritake’s factory store, despite the sudden request, for good shopping! The safari went to Minnelia, which is a separate jeep for a separate fee from this Lanka tour. They will take you to the Jeep stand. (The price of the Jeep was a bit high, but Indica helped us negotiate discounts!) They also took a lot of photos and immediately shared them with us via airdrop. Thanks to the Lanka Tour and Indica, I had many wonderful experiences and memories. Thank you so much, Indica. I'm sorry I'm late to write a review. The Lanka Tour is really recommended!

5.00Organised this after arriving in Kandy. Plenty of options available on the tour but we only wanted to see Dambulla Caves and Sigriya Rock so didn't feel any pressure to do any of the other options.Fazel was an excellent guide and interesting to chat withh about all things Sri Lankan... Good car and safe driving always is an added bonus as well.. great value and highly recommended
