Very well-organized round trip from Adelaide to Kangaroo Island — the transport in both directions was smooth and punctual. On the island we witnessed wildlife like nowhere else: kangaroos, wallabies, seals, and majestic scenery. The animal sanctuary stood out as a truly special highlight we’ll remember forever.

Wonderful day getting to see so many animals in the wild. Scenery was amazing and Hamish was a great guide. Highlight was cuddling a koala. Definitely recommend. Long day but worth it

Pick up half an hour after we were asked to be there, drop off spent time dropping off at hotels but we weren’t given this option. A very long day but saw some special sights.

A long day but time to rest there and back! Just sit back and enjoy . The provided lunch was the best salad I have had in years. But take a few snacks for between times.

Be aware of what you are letting yourself in for. There's a lot of bus travel involved, an hour each way on the ferry and the visits to locations on the island are typically only 45 minutes each. The island bus driver, Jo, was very professional and informative. Apart from the sea-lions at Seal Bay, sightings of wild animals from the bus were scarce. You get to see island kangaroos and koalas close up at the sanctuary, but to me, that's a zoo and hence cheating. Lunch was a light salad, so take some snacks with you for what is a very long day.

  • Worth the money!

Fabulous (albeit long) day tour of the island - packed a lot in seeing beautiful natural landscapes, and also animals in both their natural habitat and at a sanctuary.

  • Wild life and great bus drivers. Make it an enjoyable experience

Certainly a long day. After spending 2 hours on the coach, it was a 45 minute crossing on the ferry followed by another hour on the coach before we arrived at our first attraction Seal Bay Conservation park. Having said that, the scenery along the way on K I is very picturesque. I don't know if the tour was running late but it certainly didn't seem that we were spending the time advertised on the itinerary at each location, ie 45mins at Admirals Arch and Remarkable Rocks which we were told upon arrival was a 30 min stop. The wildlife park was a 30 min stop. Our guide had informed us earlier in the day that we would be doing 350kms on K I. Needless to say you spent a lot of time travelling on the coach. The trip back to the ferry terminal itself was another hour arriving back 45 mins before ferry departure. We arrived back in Adelaide at 10.45pm. Considering the amount of time spent travelling on the coach in relation to the amount of time spent at the attractions (and at $778.00 for 2 people) I don't know if I would be in a hurry to recommend this day tour.
