A very long day but definitely worth it. Lots to see. We were lucky as it rained a little so the kangaroos came out to drink by the roadside which was excellent. Our tourist guide was very knowledgeable and the whole day was very interesting and informative.

There are long stretches where no food or water is provided. If prepared, this would not have been a problem but I did not know and so had not brought my own supplies.

I loved this experience, even though it involved a very long day. The drive there and ferry ride were very nice. I live in California USA which also has a dry summer Mediterranean Climate, it reminded me of California in early August. Our tour guide, Dani was excellent! She took us to some beautiful places, showed us lots of the interesting wildlife and rock formations on the island. I loved her personalized stories of growing up on Kangaroo Island. The one bad experience I had was the bus ride from Cape Jervis back to the Chancellor Hotel in Adelaide. I was unaware that there are two Chancellor hotels in Adelaide, one on Currie Street and one on Hindley Street where I was staying. When I asked the bus driver which one was the correct stop for me so I wouldn't miss my stop, he was rude and condescending to me, said "I already told you three times"!

A very, very long day on busses although probably the best way to experience the island if you don’t have multiple days.

The tour around the island was very good with a knowledgeable guide / bus driver. Lunch was nice. It is a very long day but worth it. We had to meet at the Adelaide bus depot for a strict 6:45 departure but the bus driver didn't show up until 7am, there was no one there to ask if anything was wrong so we all had to wait not knowing if we were in the correct place and if the tour was going ahead. We arrived at the ferry terminal with only 10 minutes to spare so luckily there were no hold ups along the way.

A wonderful day with lots of sightseeing and new experiences. One of the highlights was our amazing bus driver, Richard. He was amazing and really topped the experience by sharing all of his knowledge about kangaroo island. Really amazing experience.

After an admittedly wonderful day tour of the island and all its amazing areas, we were left completely dissatisfied with our service with sea link following the outbreak of a local fire which stranded us away from home. We were helped with securing accommodations (which we paid for) and then received NO notifications from the company. We were completely abandoned on our own to find our way home. Keep this in mind, if you want to book a trip with them and you are not local to the area.

This is a full and action-packed day. We'll worth it, but be prepared for a 16+ hour day if you're doing the return trip from Adelaide. Lots of time for resting too though, while on the bus or ferry and a great restaurant-based lunch was included. 🙂 Driver: Richard was a wealth of local information!
