Learn more about the conversation efforts to conserve an endangered species of giraffe known as the Rothschild Giraffe. The Giraffe Centre is the creation of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya), a Kenyan non-profit organization. Their main purpose is to educate Kenyan school children and youth on their country’s wildlife and environment, as well as give local and international visitors an opportunity with the world’s tallest species, the giraffe.
You will then be driven to the Kobe Tough Beads and Leather. This is a pottery company that makes one of the world most beautiful beads. You will be shown all the stages from the start to the finish. It’s also a unique factory as it employs single mother parents from the poor neighborhood who earn a living to support their families. It's a women empowerment center for the community. The center was started by women who formerly worked for Kazuri beads factory when it shut down during the pandemic. This was reprieve for them as they could continue to provide for their families.

Enjoyed the giraffe center the most but also enjoyed the bead factory more than expected. Thought I booked a tour with others but apparently I booked a private tour by mistake.

Was a beautiful experience, so much amazing history. Definitely watch Out of Africa, it will help with understanding the time period and Karen’s story. Our driver Kelvin was amazing. He showed us several locations that we fell in love with; elephant orphanage, giraffe center, Kobe beads and delicious local food.

Booked the tour in advance of our vacation. Fast and easy communication with Kelvin. It was our last day in Nairobi and Kenya and Douglas our driver and tour guide made it to a special day, especially for my 70 years old Mom. We loved to feed the giraffes and had the chance to touch the Baby Elephants, have major respects to the women who are doing a great job and enjoyed seeing the original place/set from "Out of Africa" as we love the movie. It was a great final of our 3 weeks vacation tour through parts of Kenya. Thanks a lot!

Kelvin was an amazing guide. I’m very curious and probably asked him 1,000 questions about Nairobi and Kenya. He was patient and knowledgeable. I felt that my experience was the priority. I’ll do other tours with Kelvin.

Meshack was an excellent tour guide. The vehicle was clean and he graciously and he graciously answered all my questions including giving me a history of the Maasai’s and the country of Kenya. He also patiently waited for me while I shopped for beads made by marginalized Kenyan women. I had a fabulous time visiting all three places. Feeding the giraffes was an awesome experience. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you Meshack!! Such a sweet soul 😃.

This was the best decision to book with Kelvin. I was traveling with my wife and two teens so safety was a priority. Not only did he put us at ease when speaking to him over the phone he more than exceeded our expectations by the end of the day. Wednesday happened to be my birthday so we wanted to do something special. We booked the giraffe center, blixen museum, beads factory combo tour & Kelvin offered the elephant orphanage for us, as part of this fanstastic tour. The tour was exclusively private for me & my family. Before and during the tour kelvin shared great knowledge from city sights, history & with utmost passion & precision about the girrafe & elephant conservation in kenya. The elephant sancuary was such an amazing event where you are able to see, sometimes touch (if they decide to walk over in your direction in between twig snacks) all the orphaned elephants. Got to learn from one of the keepers, history of the sanctuary & about each of the elephants. The bead factory tour was very inspiring and informative on the women that work daily on making the beautiful handmade jewlery. After the bead factory tour we were so excited that we didn't want the day to end so we asked Kelvin to keep the party rolling. He didn't hesitate one bit so he took us to a local lunch spot to recharge and get ready for round 2. We added the 3 hr Nairobi National Park tour and it didn't disappoint! We saw some much of what Kenya has to offer from lions, rhinos, gazelles, hippos, ostrich and so much more all from the comfort of the tour van we had learned to call our mobile home for the day. We ended the day with dinner at the famous Carnivore restaurant. He not only offered to take us there but said he would stay until we were done and then take us back to our airbnb at no extra cost! Kelvin gave the best VIP experience we could have ever imagined. So if you are considering RUSTIC NATURE TOURS, DO NOT HESITATE! You can thank me later.

Spontaneously i booked this great Tour. I was so lucky to get a extraordinary Guide, Kelvin, who was very knowledgeable about Nairobi in general as well as all the interesting and nice places in and around the city. Since i was travelling alone, he accompanied me in every place up to the main entrance, explained to me everything, and assisted me where help was needed. After every visit (Giraffecenter - Elephant Orphanage – Karen Blixen Museum) i never had to wait or look for him, always at the right time in the right place 😊 Kelvin has the ability to give a visitor the feeling not just to be a tourist but a good friend! Thank you Kelvin for a wonderful day 🙏

I had a really great out with Kelvin & two other travellers today on this trip - it was very professional and all three sights are must dos if you are in Nairobi. Kelvin himself was super helpful and informative, and the company was very helpful when I was unable to pay them over the site, and made a very last minute booking. Thanks again Kelvin!
