The comms from Himalayan Travel Leaders' top man, Bedanidhi, were timely, helpful, and professional throughout. Booking was a breeze and he kindly accommodated my request for a specific seat. Received a really warm welcome upon arriving at the HTL office in Sorhakhutte; complete with halogen heater and hot coffee to help take the edge off the early morning chill! Very thoughtfully suggested I stash my rucksack on the overhead rack inside the bus for fear it might get dirty in the usual baggage compartment; and even ran through the various onboard facilities with me. The seats alone are worthy of special mention - quite possibly the widest and plushest I've ever parked my behind on in 25+ years of bouncing around Asia! That, the bus's air suspension, great condition, and the careful driving made the trip infinitely more comfy than I expected. Departure time was bang on. Given the current road widening works on the Prithvi Highway, I did ask before we set off what the estimated arrival time would be and was told around 15:30; was rather sceptical yet, impressively, we hit Pokhara a touch after 3PM and that included a brief halt en route while some landslide debris was cleared from the road! A trio of pit stops (2 for eats and 1 for a bathroom break) nicely broke up the journey. Overall, honestly couldn't have been happier with the service from HTL; in fact, I've already booked the return leg (from Pokhara to Kathmandu) through them! Big thanks to Bedanidhi and rest of the crew for a bus experience that genuinely exceeded my expectations.
