What To Expect
Swaymbhunath
Swayambhunath Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple, is one of the most sacred and iconic religious sites in Kathmandu, Nepal. Located on a hilltop overlooking the city, this ancient Buddhist shrine dates back to the 5th century and is believed to have been created by the legendary saint Manjushree. The temple complex consists of a large stupa, shrines, monasteries, and various prayer wheels and flags. It is adorned with colorful prayer flags and is surrounded by monkeys, which are considered to be holy by the locals. Visitors can climb a long flight of stairs to reach the top of the hill and explore the various structures in the temple complex. The view from the top is spectacular, with panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley. The temple is also a popular spot for locals and visitors to practice meditation and to watch the sunrise or sunset.
Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred Hindu temples in the world and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River in Kathmandu, Nepal. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to have been built in the 5th century. The complex consists of several temples, ashrams, and shrines, as well as a sacred bathing ghats for the purification of the soul. The temple is known for its elaborate architecture and intricate carvings, which depict various Hindu gods and goddesses. Visitors can observe the daily rituals and ceremonies that take place at the temple, including the aarti ceremony, which involves the offering of lamps to the deity. The temple is also home to many sadhus, or holy men, who live in the surrounding ashrams and practice meditation and yoga.

From the very first moment we arrived, everything was perfectly organized — a private car and driver were waiting for us, and we felt cared for every step of the way. A special thank you to our driver Dinesh Ranaphali — always calm, focused, and extremely professional. We felt completely safe and relaxed during all our journeys. Our guide Lil Bahadur was outstanding: his stories, knowledge, and passion for Nepal’s history, temples, and culture made every tour come alive.
