What To Expect

As you walk through the picturesque orchard, your guide will explain the history of avocados, how they are grown and the various orchard activities, tree and fruit development stages that occur throughout the year. You'll get a chance to pick your own avocado (season dependent). Meet some local native birds that call the orchard home. Watch a live demonstration of the harvesting machine used to pick fruit high in the trees. After the stroll, tantalise your tastebuds with some delicious guacamole and avocado ice cream. A merchandise stand is available for the purchase of avocado-themed items and mementos. By choosing the Gourmet Tour, you’ll experience an avocado-themed tasting event featuring a variety of dishes such as guacamole with chips, avocado and feta on balsamic and caramelized onion crackers, sourdough, and a selection of avocado oils. Delight in avocado mousse, avocado chocolates, and finish with refreshing avocado gelato. Dishes will change from time to time, ensuring a dynamic and exciting experience.

I can’t recommend this tour enough. What started as a time filler for me, became a fascination as we learned about a very unique fruit. It was so interesting from beginning to end, with some fun experiences along the way, like going up in the avocado picker, not to mention tasting the most delicious ice-cream and gelato! The hosts were so lovely, caring and informative! I will be going again and taking along friends next time!

I learned so much about the avocados and it was all fascinating. What a unique, interesting and yummy fruit they are! The hosts were so lovely, the experience was amazing and the ice-cream and gelato were divine! I highly recommend this experience!
