Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
We depart immediately after check-in so no late arrivals will be permitted
Not recommended for participants with recent back, knee or ankle injuries
No open wounds
Participants must be in good physical condition and able to hike approximately two miles through rocky, muddy and slippery terrain
Must wear shoes that are secure to your feet. No flip flops.
Please bring plenty of water.
Other recommended items to bring: swimsuits, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, snacks, and a towel.
Ziploc bags should be used for cell phones or cameras that are not waterproof
No alcohol
Age restriction is 13-69
Customer will pay Hawaii State fee of $5 per person and $10 per car

5.00Fantastic experience. Brian was a great guide. So fun to be with and have him guide us through the kayaking and hike. He took his time, made sure we were all safe and provided a lot of insight into Kauai, its culture, history and nature. The waterfall was amazing. Definitely recommend this excursion.

5.00Mikayla was a great guide. It was my first time kayaking and she made sure to give us lots of tips and encouragement. She definitely made the trip much more enjoyable. Be prepared to get wet and/or muddy even on a fairly dry day. There are a few streams to cross and some rocky areas to climb. If you listen to the tips from the guide about how to navigate the river and the trail, you will be rewarded with a better trip. The falls were beautiful and well worth the hike to get there. I suggest taking the 7 am time slot. The river & trail both get busier as the morning progresses. So, we were able to beat a lot of the people to the falls. Grab a walking stick if you see one laying around. They help.

5.00This is a must do! Our guide Zach (aka Kayak Zak) oozed great vibes and was so knowledgeable. It’s 2 miles of tandem kayaking, 1.5 mile mild hike, 30 minutes of waterfall time and then the journey back. The kayaking is beginner friendly and Zack checked in on us and offered lots of tips. The hike does cross some streams, mud, rocky terrain and includes one incline requiring you to use your hands on the roots but it is only 8 feet tall. The river is smooth, the jungle is alive and shaded and the waterfall is breathtaking!

5.00The kayaking down the Wailua river and the hike to Secret Falls were amazing! Our guide Brian provided assistance to participants as needed and was very informative and entertaining. His assistance, along with my hiking poles and previous hiking experience in the west made this experience very doable for me, even at 73.
