I really enjoyed this tour which entailed a very diversified combination of stops - city vibes, nature and beautiful sightseeing ! The open air museum was a lovely experience and the monastery stunning!

Being of Lithuanian descent, I had made a promise to myself to go there in order to experience the same places which my great-grandparents might have. My tour guide, Mantas (name may be mis-spelled, sorry) was nothing short of excellent in helping me to do exactly that, even going as far as to drive me to the tiny villages in SW Lithuania & just over the border in Poland that my ancestors emigrated from. Combined with the excellent Open-Air museum (which could easily be an entire day's excursion in of itself), I received a truly priceless education. This tour is worth every penny, & you should ask for Mantas by name.

Pazaislis Monastery and Kaunas old town are interesting. Rumsiskes shows the different style of houses and towns living in 4 different regions of Lithuania.

I can't recommend this excursion highly enough. Giedrius graciously agreed to lead this excursion for me on Christmas. It was my second excursion with him, and he kindly offered to move around some of the itinerary items between my two excursions to accommodate what would be open on Christmas Day. He was very flexible and tailored the trip to my interests - I was interested in learning more about Lithuania's Jewish history and he showed me several sites related to that history in Kaunas that weren't listed on the described itinerary. After a guided walking tour through the downtown area, I had plenty of time to explore on my own, visit the Christmas markets, grab something to eat, and shop for a few souvenirs. We managed to fit quite a bit into this trip and still return to Vilnius at a reasonable time. I learned quite about Lithuanian culture and traditions as well from his thoughtful narration during the drive.

While the the sites were interesting and the guide gave us some information while at the sites, I would not recommend this tour. The guide was using the phone, texting and calling, during the entire day. While driving to the sights, he was texting using multiple apps and making/taking phone calls. I was afraid he would hit another car while he was texting and driving on the highway! I would have understood if there was some type of emergency going on but the calls seemed personal. He seems like a nice guy and is knowledgeable about the topics but really needs to put the phone away and focus on the tour.

The guide Giedrius is very competent. I learned a lot from him. I was able to visit places woch can't be reach in a day by public transport. I liked this tour and will recomend it.
