Then, the real fun begins: the art of Tontoko-ame making! After watching a captivating demonstration by a skilled artisan, you’ll get to try your hand at rhythmically cutting the warm, soft candy with a specialized knife. This hands-on session is a blast, and you’ll take your unique sweet creation home as a memorable souvenir.

Kawasaki Daishi Omotesando
After meeting your guide, you will walk towards Kawasaki Daishi Temple, passing through the Omotesando (main approach) street, which is lined with traditional, old-fashioned shops.
Kawasakidaishi Nakamise Street
The Nakamise-dori (shopping street) is the busiest path leading to the Main Hall of Kawasaki Daishi Temple. This traditional area is famous for local specialties. You will see Kuzumochi (a soft, sweet rice cake), Daruma dolls, and the famous rhythmic hard candy, Tontoko-ame. You will join a special Tontoko-ame workshop right here, in this traditional area.
