Our guide, if we can call him that, has always kept a distance from us, and has hardly spoken to us. During the walk in the canyon, she didn't even accompany us. We had chosen a guide to have explanations, we finally had a potiche or a flowerpot...

Be prepared for a geographically enlightening experience with amazing views of Lake Powell and vertical canyon walls from the seat of a kayak and a spectacular immersed stroll through Antelope Slot Canyon. Motorized water craft on the lake can make the return kayak trip a little challenging for kids and inexperienced paddlers due to rolling waves, etc.

What a nightmare…. Avoid this tour at all costs, email received stated tour started at 8am , arrived at 7:10 but waited till 7:50 to enter the ramp. Talked to another woman with her family who arrived at 8 seemed to be on the same tour with the same company, she approached Sean the tour Guide and said she wasn’t sure where she was meant to go. Sean proceeded to berate the woman about being late and saying everything was in the email but as we were in the same situation didn’t say anything, Sean was arrogant, rude and unhelpful, the woman walked away because he was calling her names and saying she was wrong he was adamant that he was right , shouting and making an awful scene. As two females aged 25 up till now it was Truely the worst customer service I have ever experienced , we tried to get Sean’s attention to say we were not with this woman and we still wanted to do the tour. He proceeded to tell the other woman to leave as he was done and finished with her and not willing to help. He then walked away and said nothing to us at all. We decided to hang around for a few minutes to see if he would come back. He did not , the situation was upsetting and completely ruined our day. We walked away as we did not want to go on the tour with Sean after this display of disgusting behaviour. We tried to get a refund and was denied over and over. Even after saying we were sorry profusely about making a mistake of the orientation time. When I messaged Sean to get a refund after the event , He said we bailed and he was going to help even though we did not exchange one word with Sean. Here’s a tip and save your money, don’t give it to someone like this who treats people like that, go round the corner to the marina and hire your own kayak, the people were lovely and so helpful and they will tell you everything you need to know and it will be so much cheaper and a much much much better experience. I’m horrified by Sean’s behaviour and his refusal of our refund. The whole situation was upsetting and wholly disappointing. Such a shame for such a beautiful place to be ruined by such an ugly person.

These people are horrible. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I purchased a reservation on the morning of April 17th @ 6am for an April 18th booking at 11am. These people re-scheduled my reservation stating "I did not check in" but had all of my information.. Sending me an email and text message after they've already changed the time with Viator, which I informed them did not work with the rest of my birthday reservations. Proceeding to be rude and disrespectful to me and stating they would give me a refund. This did not happen. I took it up with Viator who told me to dispute with the merchant and my bank. I provided text messages and all details just to be told that the merchant "cancelled my appointment due to weather issues and were in their right to do so within the 24-hour window, at their discretion. They know how to trick the Visa dispute process because it is basically an automated system. My bank would not honor a credit because of this and I am out of $200+ on my birthday and just told to deal with it. AGAIN, do not book with them.

All communication from Viator said to meet at 8 a.m. I reviewed it multiple times. For meeting point if you hit “get directions” it will send you to a marina. In the notes however they state “don’t go to the marina, go to the boat launch” (paraphrasing here) We were running late by about 3 minutes so I texted them at 7:50 asking for clarification because I knew every minute counted. The texting was very dismissive and abrupt and didn’t give any guidance. When we got there admittedly 10 minutes late (because finding the ramp took some asking) We were told adamantly that our instructions said to be there at 7:25 and I had missed all the instructions from the safety meeting. Sean said he wouldn’t talk to me because I was emotional. What he meant was he wouldn’t allow me to talk and he would rudely tell me how I was wrong and my email said 7:25 (it did not) If I tried to respond he would then go off again but state how he wasn’t going to listen to me. Suffice it to say, Sean is not a great communicator. We walked away and before we got to the top of the boat ramp received a full refund notification from Viator. I’m not sure if he actually looked at the emails from Viator and saw he was wrong or if that was an automatic thing. Paddle Express, if you read this, Sean needs a vacation or some communication work or both! If you book this I would call them and find out your actual meeting time because the email from Viator was not correct. We did not tour antelope through them. We rented our own Kayaks for a $80 total through the Marina and they are lovely. The canyons are totally worth it but Paddle Express…not so much.
