Our award winning kayak program has been exploring these waters for more than 20 years. They are ideal for the family, excellent for education and an amazing way to see significant Turks & Caicos marine wildlife; juvenile turtles, rays, juvenile sharks and birds.
The mangrove habitats make up a third of these islands. We love to teach our guests about these unique ecosystems and the important role they play while exploring and paddling through their channels. These tours are an absolute must for everyone visiting these islands.

What To Expect
Big Blue Collective
Experience our legendary signature eco tour. TCI’s number-one eco tour is still going strong after 20 years. This 4-hour tour will explore and learn all about the serene mangrove habitats, nursery grounds, the iguana sanctuary, marine life, birds and coastal ecology then swim at a beautiful beach. Beginners are welcome. Includes $10 park conservation fee. (Refreshments provided) Departure is from our location in Leeward Marina. Transport may be provided from the Grace Bay area at request. High tide is essential for visiting the mangroves, making departure times vary daily as the tide moves through the day. There are always a couple days a month where the tide is outside of business hours where the trip may not be available.

5.00We went out for a 4hr kayak eco tour with Mikey as our guide. The paddle started at 830am, scheduled to optimize access to the mangroves based on the tides and to avoid the crowds. Well what an experience. There were 4 in our group plus Mikey. The morning paddle was quiet and peaceful … so many turtles, birds, fish and small lemon sharks. There was no one there but our little group. Would highly recommend this activity if you’re interested in learning a lot about the flora and fauna from an engaging marine biologist while enjoying the beauty of the island.
Excellent tour! Would highly recommend.

5.00Mitch, our guide, was fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly, and had a great eye for finding the wildlife! Big blue collective has a deep care and respect for maintaining the beautiful T&C ecosystem. This is a small, personalized tour and was worth every penny! I would definitely do another Big Blue Collective tour in T&C!!

5.00We went on the 4 hr kayak eco tour with Big Blue Collective. It was by far the best kayaking experience we have had in Turks and Caicos. Our guide Mikey was very knowledgeable in marine biology and shared lots of interesting information with his curious kayakers. He spotted the anticipated wildlife that we hoped to see. Topped off with a swim in the crystal clear waters of a deserted beach and the delightful snack of fresh fruit and local baked goods was a bonus. The marina and the kayaks were very clean and comfortable. Thank you Mikey and Big Blue Collective!

5.00We had a fabulous tour led by the incomparable Mikey. It was a fun and fascinating tour starting with a challenging (at times) paddle due to wind, followed by serene mangroves, turtles, a lemon shark, heron, iguanas, bright blue sea, white sand, delicious snacks and upside down jellyfish. This tour had it all. We highly recommend.

5.00These guys were amazing! I haven't had the best kayaking experiences before - this trip changed my mind about kayaking. The guides were very supportive - we felt safe despite our inexperience. They were also super informative about the local flora and fauna and history of the islands, not to mention good natured. They claimed it was perfect kayaking weather and I believe them. Gave us a great dinner recommendation to boot.

5.00Janie, our guide, was top notch! A marine biologist, she is super knowledgeable about the local ecosystem and took us on an amazing tour to Iguana Island and through the mangroves, where we spotted lots of turtles and fish. Highly recommend!!!

5.00This was so much better than the snorkel trip we did a year ago with another company! Having only four of us on board a small boat vs 20 packed on a large boat made it very personal. Having Mikey as our expert guide made all the difference. He was terrific snorkeling with us, pointing out what to see (turtles, stingray, fish, squid), while on the big boat trip we did last year they just told us to jump in the water by ourselves. Then Mikey led us to the much less traveled side of Iguana Island to point out more interesting stuff. Next year when we return we will definitely use Big Blue Collective again!

5.00My best friend and I loved the 4-hr Eco Tour with Ketlyn! We saw sea turtles, a lemon shark, and lots of iguanas. He was a very patient and informative guide, who gave us plenty of time to enjoy going at our own pace, including wading in the beautiful turquoise water. We never felt rushed and we enjoyed every minute! The snacks were great and we appreciated the company's commitment to sustainability, including using reusable water bottles for us, not plastic bottles. Ketlyn was such a nice person and we highly recommend a tour with him if you want a fun, informative, and relaxing kayak trip!
