An amazing day out – one of the highlights of our time in New Zealand. A fantastic way to explore Abel Tasman in one day. Our guide was knowledgeable and cheerful. Only thing I'd flag up is that we could have done with some more info re. what to bring before we arrived. The confirmation email and homepage for the event didn't clarify what was needed so we guessed and got it kind of half right! You take everything in the kayak (in a waterproof section) so bring small bags otherwise they won't fit. You'll need trainers/hiking shoes as well as flipflops. Bring clothes you don't mind getting wet in the kayak and dry clothes for the hike if you don't want to walk wet. It's a long kayak trip so hats and long sleeves are recommended to avoid burning. Also, bring LOADS of water!

An excellent way to fit 2 activities into a day and see a fair bit of the Abel Tasman national park! Our guide Brody was full of information and made for a very safe and enjoyable 2/3hr paddle. Lunch provided was delicious. The walking section is beautiful and easy to complete in the time provided. All very well organised and worth the money!

The day kayak/walk was the highlight of our trip, we loved it (even the teenagers!). Darryl our guide was fantastic - he was so informative, knowledgeable and had lots of yarns to tell along the way. With no prior kayak experience, the paddle in the morning was a perfect amount of time on the water. The walk to Anchorage and then the Pitt Head loop was absolutely stunning. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, right from pick up to drop off in Motueka. Safety was clearly a priority for everyone and we were definitely in safe hands, which was very reassuring. This was our first trip to Abel Tasman and gave us a wonderful taste of what's on offer, we will without a doubt be back. Thanks Darryl and ATK.

Luisa was a fantastic guide! She was not only informative with the history & sites, she was fun to be with. Also turned our kayaking adventure into a sailing one!

We went on a kayak trip and then hike. Everything was extraordinarily beautiful and service was fantastic and perfect from beginning to end. Our guide was Hayley and she was friendly, knowledgeable, easy-to-chat with, and made everyone feel safe and secure. She shared interesting facts along the way about the park (and New Zealand generally), provided flexibility around where we paddled based on group preferences, took us to a quick beach stop before our lunch beach stop, recommended a great burger place for after, and made us all laugh. ❤️
