What To Expect
Drive through the scenic northeastern coast of Qatar to reach the beautiful Purple Island. (Transportation not included.) This experience begins with a comprehensive introduction to kayaking and a short training session designed for beginners. You will be provided with kayaks, paddles, and US Coast Guard–approved safety jackets. Enjoy a 90-minute fun and energetic kayaking journey through the mangrove channels of Purple Island. On request, a guided walk through the ecology of the mangrove forest is also available. The activity is offered at multiple time slots: Sunrise 5 AM, Sunset 4 PM.

5.00Our experience was really great! The organisation of the tour and the kayaking was very enjoyable. The guide we had was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about the mangroves and purple island. We will recommend this experience to other people and I have another family member visiting me in Qatar in December and will book again so they can also enjoy this experience.

5.00Kayaking in mangroves was like being in a calm, peaceful place. There were lots of green plants. . It felt good to finish something challenging. Mangrove kayaking was a short trip full of calm and fun.

5.00From start to finish the experience was superb , google our guide was great fun and very professional in his briefing as well as constantly checking everything was ok during the trip. Due to tide height we couldn’t go through the channel but still the trip was super enjoyable!!! Can’t recommend it enough , great way to see a very different part of Qatar. Truly stunning.

5.00Went out for a couple’s sunset kayak experience with bbq and it was very well organized. The guide explained the history of the Purple Island and the ecology of the area of the mangroves. Definitely coming back for a splendid sunset tour! The group was awesome!
