This is one of the most interesting tours in the Kazbegi area, because it allows you to visit some unique points. This trip is interesting but easy, so everyone can participate, even families with children. You can take also children in a baby carrier. Take water and snacks. Be prepared for changeable weather. Bring a jacket and something in case it rains. Take also comfortable sports shoes. The time spent in the car is about 30 minutes and 3 hours and 30 minutes is the time to walk around the visited points. The Dariali Gorge is called the Gate of the Caucasus. We will visit all the most important places of the Gorge and stop at several viewpoints from which we will take fantastic pictures (the Gorge is 1000 meters deep).

Service is off-road taxi to three points in the Kazbegi area which with a normal car you can hardly reach. In the case of waterfalls you get to a point where you reach them in just over an hour. The stop in the village Tso is 40 minutes, maybe too long; but not bad.

The area is beautiful. Stunning views. Many possibilities to take pictures. The road to the waterfalls is short but intense. Full of stones and some slope, but it's 20 minutes the longest. It's done pretty well.

Had great day with our driver. Hike up the big waterfall and enjoyed a light lunch we had picked up in town. Also stoped off to view the gorge and a small village. We would have liked a little more time a the monastery but had enough time for a quick view and a wine tasting. Overall a great easy day. Take your hiking shoes for the waterfall.

It was a great experience, managed time at the first place to help spend more of it at the waterfalls and monastery. Driver was really helpful in getting us to all places on time and making sure we got to make the most out of our trip. Would recommend people go, though keep in mind that you’ll need to manage your time so you can spend it more at the places that interest you.

I discovered this wonderful travel facilitator when I was walking leisurely on the empty streets of Kazbegi, this agency run by young professionals offers safe and convenient day trips, thanks to them I could visit Dariaili Monastery, Gorge and beautiful waterfalls. The staff are quite friendly and helpful.

It’s not really a tour…just a non-English speaking driver who brings you to each of the locations. Personally, there was too much time at each of the locations. The waterfalls only took an hour for both hikes and we had two hours. The other locations could each be dine in ten minutes.

I recently went on a mountain expedition arranged by Mountain Freaks and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, their team was incredibly responsive, clear in communication, and always ready to help. I was impressed how dedicated and customer-oriented they were throughout the whole process. I felt supported and in good hands every step of the way. The trip itself was perfectly organized—every detail was thought through and executed smoothly. I genuinely recommend Mountain Freaks to anyone planning a mountain adventure.

Nice transfer service to a few areas north of Stepantsminda. Personally, we enjoyed the waterfalls the most and would probably change the itinerary to include only 30 minutes at the village and 2.5 hours at the waterfalls. At the monastery we had about 35 minutes or so, this was enough to visit the lower monastery and try a glass of the 'monastery wine' in the cafe, but not to also visit the upper monastery. If you want time to visit both, you'd probably need to skip out on the cafe. Our transfer did not include a stop at the viewpoint mentioned in the itinerary here. As it was a hazy day, we did not ask. Our driver did not speak English, so you would need to clarify anything with the staff in the Mountain Freaks office before leaving (or have Google translate ready to go).

It was a well organized and well paced tour and we got to spent enough time at each of the spots. The waterfall trek was a bit challenging but it was definitely scenic and worth the effort. The driver was very helpful and very well trained to drive on that terrain.

Beautiful settings but not "easy, so everyone can participate, even families with children." I hike a lot on single-track trails at home, and much of the hiking here was not easy. To me, easy does not mean rocky and steep, which the trails often were. If I'd known that would be the case, I either would have taken my hiking poles or not booked. I missed out on more than half the hiking and was not able to reach either waterfall. That said, I enjoyed even staying behind on the hikes. Being out in such breathtaking scenery is amazing and worth the lower price. I also would not call it a "tour." "Tour" suggests getting at least some information along the way. This was more a series of connected transfers. The driver spoke no English and was not even able to inform us how long we'd have at each stop. Or even that we were at a stop. We had to do a lot of guessing.
