Jiufen Old Street: A fun maze for the adventurous, but a stair workout for others. Not a fan of stairs? No worries—we’ve got plenty of other great tours without the climb!

Keelung Port has 2 different terminals. Important: please let us know are you arriving at East Passenger Terminal, or West Passenger Terminal? Please provide us the name of cruise ship, and time for pickup. Thank you!!!

Starting January 1, 2025, Jiufen will enforce holiday traffic controls (8 AM–8 PM). Tour buses and private cars must park in designated lots, with visitors taking shuttle buses to Jiufen Old Street.

A moderate amount of walking is involved.

Tony was an exceptional guide and perfect for our day with a 5 year-old exploring Taiwan. He was so kind and insightful. He was well-prepared (water, umbrellas, etc.) and provided great insights throughout. He was so kind to help us capture moments throughout the day and sharing photos and videos while we explored together. The tour does require some walking and steps, so I suggest for those with mobility, especially to fully enjoy some of the waterfall views and old town. With a trip heavily focused on urban cities, we opted for this tour to experience a different side of Asian culture in villages and nature. It was well worth it!! It is busy - no escaping that - but there were treasures to be found in the food, sights, smells, and kind Taiwanese who welcomed us. You can’t go wrong with the value of this tour - we recommend this 100% and hope you support this tour company.

It was a great experience to decorate and launch our own lantern into the sky (from a railway track), and then wander around the adjacent shops and cafes. The Shifen Waterfalls were gorgeous - a bit far to walk in the heat, but great. Jiufen was an interesting place. We only got to see the laneways of shops, but had a nice meal and a shop there. The Golden Waterfall was interesting too. This is a good tour, a long drive between stops, but I would recommend it.

Oscar provided an enjoyable tour and we highly recommend him to others! He promptly picked us up on time in a comfortable, spacious vehicle. He had a lot of interesting info and facts regarding the sites. The highlight was the sky lantern experience! One thing that stood out is how accommodating he was with a person in my group with mobility issues. This was greatly appreciated! Thanks for a great day and we hope to meet up with Oscar for another tour someday!

Tony Kuo was fantastic! He was at the port early to pick us up, drove and gave us all the local information and history of the area! Took us to the waterfall, to see off lanterns, to an amazing POW park, to a local place for lunch with a great view! He even took us to see some temples along the way when he realized how beautiful we thought they were. He also showed us the mountains and explained all the details behind them. And he took us shopping in Jiufen and even insisted on carrying all of our bags. He was amazing!!! He also brought his camera and took tons of photos of us and the scenic views and gave us the memory card. Definitely one of the best tour guides I have had!! Ty for a wonderful time. Brian and I really appreciated you!

James was a great guide! He showed us two awesome waterfalls, and we had an amazing buffet lunch at the Grand hotel in Taipei. We chatted about the area's history and TSMC. His English was pretty good.
